In case you haven’t noticed, I’ve been a bit MIA from the gram for a few weeks.
Posts haven’t been flowing through me like they used to. I’ve been feeling like I’m being pulled in too many directions. Like I’m driving in 5 lanes at once. And when I’m not feeling centered, sharing doesn’t seem authentic, as if it’s not coming from the right place.
In the thick of this insta slump, I found an incredible book - exactly what I needed. And suddenly being stuck felt like a gift - an opportunity to pause, grow, evolve.
Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less. In the craziness that is #momlife #momtrepreneur life and in a world and time where there are endless enticing things to do at any given moment, all seemingly uberimportant, this message of saying NO, of strategically choosing how to make ones highest contribution, and of mindfully eliminating that which is non-essential, is helping me shift my focus to the FEW important areas where I feel I can truly be of service, create from a place of joy, and add value. If that means playing and giggling with my kids on the floor for 30 minutes while the dishes remain unwashed, so be it. —
I can’t recommend this book enough. Swipe right to see more. I already sense a shift within myself and from this new centered place, I will share again very soon. Until then I invite you to see you’re stuckness as a gift, a blessing, an opportunity to shift your perception. Perhaps you need to do less. Perhaps you need to say no more. At the end of the day, our gifts can only shine forth when we create some space. —
