What’s the difference between simple and complex carbs? • It’s something we hear a lot about but perhaps you don’t understand why it matters. Well we’ll help! 😋 • Carbohydrates can be split into two groups, simple (soda, fries, white bread, candy, chips, etc) and complex (wheat bread, sweet potatoes, beans, fruit): Your body has to work to break down the complex carbs because they contain more fiber. Because of this, the sugar from them releases into your bloodstream slowly, keeping insulin levels steady and keeping your blood sugar stable. This also keeps your stomach feeling fuller longer and you can wait a little longer for your next meal. • On the other hand, simple carbs do the exact opposite. Many nutrients may have been stripped out of them and your body doesn’t have to work so hard to process them. This leads to a spike in insulin levels, which causes your blood sugar to go up. And just as quickly as they rise, they fall. So not very long after eating, you begin to feel hungry again and this can cause a pattern of overeating. (This is why you can’t eat just one chip!) • It’s not hard to see why this matters now, right? If you’re trying to calorie count, eating a lot of simple carbs makes it very difficult. Of course, you can still lose weight and eat all the simple carbs you want, if you’re in a calorie deficit. Además, señala que, respecto a la flexión y la columna, “cuando las cargas sobre la columna vertebral son altas además de un movimiento repetido de flexión, poco a poco el núcleo del disco intervertebral va a trabajar a través de los movimientos y va a generar una protuberancia en el disco. Cuanto mayor sea la carga, y mayores sean las repeticiones, más rápido ocurrirá”. . Esto nos hace ver que para una buena protección de nuestra columna es importante trabajar en contra del movimiento, lo que McGill llama; los "Antis". . Hoy os dejo unos ejemplos de Anti-rotación; . Press Pallof / Crossover con polea / In-line chip (corte diagonal en polea) / Plank (3 apoyos, tocando hombros por ejemplo). . VS . ⚠️(Crunch oblicuos, criss-cross, giros rusos, twist... )⚠️ NOOOOOOOOO!!!! 🤕🤕. . . En estos ejercicios el ERROR FUNDAMENTAL es la confusión entre rotación interna y externa de la cadera con rotación vertebral. Muchos ejercicios de rotación, una vez estabilizadas las caderas, rotan o flexionan el tronco. . . Debemos recordar en entrenar el núcleo (core) moviendo las caderas o las extremidades SIN NINGUN MOVIMIENTO COMPENSATORIO de la columna vertebral. . . .⚠️. NO ROTES TU TRONCO DURANTE LOS EJERCICIOS !! . . 🔝🔝Esto no quiere decir que no se mueva la columna, no. Esto significa que la columna debe moverse correctamente dentro de sus propios límites. . .
