There isn't much people know about Shriya. There isn't much that Shriya lets other people know about herself.
For instance, not everyone knows that she has worked with Jammura, Platform Magazine and Grey Worldwide. People don't know that she is too modest for a writer so brilliant. Neither do they know that behind the seemingly shy Shriya, there is a monster who will jump out every time anything related to High School Musical plays. Not everyone is as lucky as I am to see her bubble with excitement over artists or music videos or magazines or movies.
Above everything, what people should know is how much Bombay means to Shriya. How she would sleep on Marine Drive any given night, or how much she loves the cafes, the late night walks in the city, the second class in locals, the artists, the bookstores. Everything.
Not everyone knows that Shriya also laughs this unabashedly. Well, maybe also because we were at Rustom's.
What Bombay is to Shriya, Shriya is to me. And to @delnaabraham
Looking back at this series, I'm almost embarrassed about how corny I was. Not to say that I treasure either of my roommates any less now, but my capacity to be so cheesy has reduced drastically.
Either way, the text (and its natural candour) is also what makes this one of my favorites.
As for @shriya_pant , she went on to volunteer at Auroville before starting a job at Flint PR. With them she's worked on Weekender and Backdoors festival, amongst a lot of other incredible things.
