Lost. “Let’s go over there”, I say to Ben(my guide). But I’m scared. Scared to face the women, for in their eyes I can see the years. I feel empathy, because I know what they’ve been through, years of total seclusion gradually growing into a sight for the heritage of a country, a story of cultural endurance.
My guide takes me there, and I snap a few shots of the group. And from that, cometh this one that I call “Lost”. This is because the deeper I stared through the lens, the more awestruck I was as she sat there, silently watching with a gaze that seemed to defy the bounds of time itself.
