January 29th, 2017.
The event that took place on this date and that is a date that is forever etched in our history books. It’s not due to the Royal Rumble match, or the various participates that competed in the specific match. Whether it had one, two, three, four or even five Hall of Famers it wasn’t important. The match itself, yes it was important, main event of WrestleMania on the line yada, yada, yada everyone knows what’s on the line when it comes to the Royal Rumble match. But this is the night where I became a 16-time World Champion, a feat that was only reached by one man other man and that was The Nature Boy Ric Flair, when you speak about legends in our industry you name him. This one accomplishment is easily the biggest one of my entire career, this single accomplishment was the hardest one to achieve. Why? Because it took over 15 long hard years to achieve this single accomplishment. I’ve main evented WrestleMania, I’ve main evented Raw’s, SmackDown’s, SmackDown Lives — I’ve main evented a ECW pay-per-view for god sakes. What I’m trying to say is; I’ve almost accomplished everything in WWE... Am I saying that I’m signing off on my retirement? No sir, I’m not close to announcing such a thing thing, I have a lot left in the tank and there is still things that need to be done. I need to hold the WWE Championship at least one more time, I have yet to become a grand slam champion, the Intercontinental Championship, the Universal Championship... I haven’t held the NXT Championship either. That last one might be more difficult to accomplish than the other three considering I am a main roster talent but never say never. The Universal Championship isn’t an easy thing to win since the champion shows up less than I do, but at least I’m actually working on other projects in my absence. A lot of you might be wondering why I’m saying all of this and my answer is quite simple; I’m not done and I’m coming BACK but the date is a question mark for now. But when I do come back it’s going to be for a valuable reason and I’m going to return with a purpose. You never return without one of those and just because I have four goals I thrive to achieve does not mean (cont)
