It’s been awhile since I posted but sometimes I just need a break from social media. It’s been proven that social media is much like a drug. It’s addictive! When you find that you can’t even go one day without it or even one hour then it’s time to think about doing a social media detox. Social media can be a good thing, don’t get me wrong. But it can also ruin relationships. I see so many people nowadays who can’t even look you in the eye because they have their heads down in their phones. It’s hard to have a conversation with someone face to face these days because we have to have our phones with us 24/7 and constantly checking it. I challenge you to set your phone aside and have a REAL conversation with someone. I challenge you to look people in the eye as you walk by them and say hello. I challenge you to put your phone in a different room and have a family dinner with no phone distractions. Let’s go old skool and get back to nurturing relationships by having face to face, eye contact conversations. I promise you won’t miss anything by taking a break. Trust me. I’ve done it! I don’t even look like the same person, right? -8lbs on the left, -70lbs on the right. Almost back to me. I don’t think I can get all the way to 120. I think 150 is more practical. So, 20 or so pounds to go, which is technically above my target BMI 🙄
