Sure, I have a goal weight but now that I’ve been doing this thing for almost a year I care less and less about the scale. Most days I feel amazing and powerful, like there isn’t anything I can’t do. Isn’t that the ultimate goal feeling for us all? I’m trying to put together more goals to keep me company as I keep moving towards that big from above. #facetofacefriday -312lbs in 2 years with diet/exercise. Same beach, same girl, completely different life. The picture on the left was the first year I finally stopped wearing a swimsuit in public. It also was the first year I realized I physically struggled to walk on the sandy beach. Up until that Summer of 2016 & even at 400lbs I wore a bathing suit. I loved walking along the shore, but realized quickly how much I struggled and was covered in sweat, especially in clothing. Swimming was one of my favorite things I loved my whole life and I refused to let clothing keep me from that. However at 485lbs I decided I no longer had the nerve to wear a swimsuit in public due to my size. I pretended not to care or want to swim in the ocean even though it was my favorite thing, especially at my favorite place. This year I returned to the same beach not even breaking a sweat walking down it in my full workout clothes before hitting the gym. It never gets easier, you get stronger! Instead of thinking you can’t do it, start believing you can! I used to cry myself to sleep because I could not stop bingeing on food and I could not loose weight. My food was out of control and my life was loosing all meaning. I felt trapped in a body that I didn’t belong in with thoughts that I don’t wish on anyone 😒 I used to look at people’s success and wish it could me be. One day it clicked - I have to make changes to see changes. I’m not done yet but I am living. Hey guys! I have not posted in over a week and here's why: some of you may know I started a new job this week and I haven't worked in almost 4 months so i definitely had to get back in the swing of things. I had this plan to wake up at 5:45 am to workout and be on the way to work by 7:10ish. WELL THAT PLAN TOTALLY FAILED. lol by Tuesday it was shark week(still is) and I've just felt so bloated and sluggish. I have kept up with my weight still because there is a scale at work. I weighed yesterday at 227.0. Which some could be bloat and some could not. BUT it definitely motivated me because that's a 5lb gain since my birthday (June 24) so I see now that I need to kick my butt back in gear! I will do better about posting because it keeps me accountable! . . . All in all, I'm okay that I had a bad week because I know I can make this one better. BUT I need your help to keep me motivated! DM me, comment and ask me how my journey is going- help me stay focused and I'm glad to do the same! 😊

I added this to my story, but I felt the need to just elaborate a little. . . Determination comes from the mind: that's where everything starts. You looked at yourself and your mind said do it. Your body only follows what your mind tells it to do. If you're feeling lack of motivation, your body is going to feel that. Mind telling you to binge? Guess what... Now you've got that guilt bloat from eating far too much of the wrong things. The point is: what you believe in your mind is what's going to happen. If you believe you're going to lose 50lbs, YOU WILL! Claim it! If you believe you just can't do that workout today or you can't eat that healthy food today, you wont. Don't let your mind hold you back from doing great things. You are capable of anything you allow yourself to do!

This is definitely a more positive post than my last.. I am feeling so great. I woke up, cooked my hubby and I some breakfast and got my workout done right away instead of procrastinating (which I am the queen of). I am constantly reminding myself that you can only worry about the 24 hours ahead of you and make the best out of them instead of focusing on weeks/months. Here's to better days 😊πŸ’ͺ✨ . . . * THIS IS NOT A TRANSFORMATION PICTURE- THEY WERE TAKEN MINUTES APART* . . . I'm going to be completely honest. When I seen these pictures that were taken of me at a family event my first thought was "wow I take up so much room".... You imagine you look one way, then a picture shows you what you really look like especially when it's taken by someone else. These were taken 6 days ago and since then I've worked out once. Haven't eaten great but not terrible either. But basically I forgot about goals because to me, I already failed. All my hard work that I've put in, it seems like I have forgotten about it. I still sometimes tell myself I'm meant to be a big girl, that I wouldn't look right smaller. Truth be told: those are just cop outs. Just because I don't want to invest the time in myself to change my circumstances. I'm struggling so bad right now with getting myself back on track to becoming a better me. But then I think about why I made this page. For accountability and motivation... So what I'm going to use it for.

I have a question mark next to my June weight loss because my scale broke on June 25th and as far as June 24th, my weight was 222.0. I started that month with a weight of 228.4. It's not a huge loss, but its something! I have to keep reminding myself that this is called a "journey" for a reason and it's not a sprint! . . . . **** OVERALL I HAVE LOST 18LBS FROM MY HEAVIEST WEIGHT EVER **** . . As far as a scale goes, I will get a new one soon but I want to challenge myself to stay on track even without a scale for a while! I'm thinking about going all July before buying a new one... I'll get back with y'all on that lol . . . Don't get discouraged when you scroll on instagram and see that one of the people you follow lost 15lbs one month! Everyone's journey is different; we just all have the same goal of getting healthy! πŸ’ͺ

Hey guys! So here's a quick update on things. Recently I know I haven't been as active on here as I could be, but I'm getting back to that. I have fallen off track in the last week or so (every since my birthday 1 week ago today). I haven't made my health a priority, instead I've mistreated my body so much. I've eaten terribly and have only worked out 2 times this week and it was the bare minimum. I think some of my "falling off the wagon" comes from the fact that my scale broke last Monday. Because of that my mind is like "it's okay, you won't know how much you weigh anyway"... But guess what? I'm going to forget about everything that happened this past week because it's not only the start of a new week, but THE START OF A NEW MONTH 😊 I refuse to give up on myself and forget how far I've come from the old me. Even though I couldn't weigh myself to see if I reached my June goal of 220lbs (which I probably didn't), I'm still going to strive for greatness this month with or without a scale! . . . It's July, a new month, let's crush these goals we have of becoming better versions of ourselves! And while doing that, also stay on top of motivating each other! Even though we're all on different journeys, we still have the same goal of getting healthy! πŸ’•πŸ’•

Yesterday was my birthday and my goal weight by then was 222.2! I hit my goal -.2 πŸ˜€πŸ˜€ I'm so excited! I'm officially 2 pounds away from my end of June goal of 220lbs πŸ™Œ Also, by reaching 220lbs I will be 20lbs down from my heaviest weight 😊 . . . As many of you that follow my journey may know, I am a Christian. This morning, the Lord put in my spirit that I need to fast and pray. As Christians, when facing tough decisions or tough times, the first thing we need to do is call on God. I've found myself putting things before God lately and that may be the very reason for this. I won't only be fasting from food and drink, but also social media. I'll do this for a week and see if I need to go longer. I won't be doing any weight updates simply because I don't want to put anything in the way of what God is doing. With all that being said, I will see you guys in a week. πŸ’•

When I made this page I told myself I'd always post the raw truth no matter how tough it may be. So here it is: I didn't not stick the plan of only weighing myself Sundays. I actually gave in and weighed myself today (which I wish I hadn't). As you have seen this week I have been a little off track, going back to bad habits and not sticking to my workout schedule. I weighed 225.6 last Sunday. Today I weighed 226.8, so that's 1.2lbs. Is it a lot? Absolutely not. Will the scale still get you down even if it goes in the wrong direction the tiniest bit? Unfortunately, yes. I instantly got all "you can't do this, you'll always be this way, give up" on myself. Then as I was getting ready today I put on my go-to Olive green tee. I noticed it fit a little different than I picture my mom had sent me. So I pulled up the picture and it's a bigger difference than what I thought! All my downing thoughts instantly went away and I remembered why I even started this journey. Sometimes you just have to SEE the difference just to make yourself feel a bit better about the process. . . . First pic: left photo(240+lbs) was taken on March 3, 2018. Right(226.8lbs) was taken today. . . Second pic: I put the blue shirt picture next to it so you guys could see the difference in my smile. . . . No, It may not be a whole lot, but progress is progress! Keep pushing yourself to make the best decisions because it may not seem like it RIGHT NOW, but it pays off I promise! πŸ˜˜πŸ’•

Good morning 😊 I thought I'd share this with you guys simply because self love is SO SO important. It makes a difference in your confidence, your relationships and so much more. The more love you show yourself the more you're able to give to others. πŸ’• Just because you haven't reached your goal weight or your goal jeans/shirt doesn't mean you're not beautiful! You're just not where you want to be yet, and that's OK! Love yourself before the journey, and during the journey because your journey isn't temporary. It's a lifestyle change! . .
