What interpretation do you have of this?
When I read this, a lightbulb went off that I felt impelled to share in lite of the season.
Is it more important to be “rich” with money and have no people, no enrichment, no experiences, nothing that you call uniquely yours... OR, if money is the last step... your life is rich with blessings. People who love you and encourage you (bloodline or not) a job that pays the bills, a roof over your head, clothes on your body, fresh nourishing meals daily, your health, laughter in your heart and peace in your soul, and at least a few happy thoughts every day. Your investment into those things - my goodness - what does the stress of “rich” with money matter if you don’t invest in a life?
Tis the season to give - but give health, give life, give hope, give love. Things become obsolete.
