The cucumber 🥒 and zucchini crop this year has been such a raging success I decided to save the seeds for next year. Saving seeds is soooooo easy and I always save my own to get started again next year - to save your seeds all you need to do is find the biggest and healthiest plant with the best fruit. Allow one fruit to grow to extra maturity. Split it open carefully. Scoop out the seeds into a jar. fill the jar with water. Shake the jar each day until seeds have separated from the flesh. Dry the seeds on a paper towel. Put them in a paper bag and label them. DONE ✅ now you’ll have an incredible crop for next year😁😁😁😁
Field trip highlight from last year at @spraycreekranch with students of @richmondfarmschool. Tristan and Aubyn so generously hosted 30 of us at their beautiful ranch and taught workshops on sustainable cattle, pigs and chicken management. No farm trip ends without a delicious locally-inspired feast. We feel so privileged to have a community of such inspiring farmers around us and who are so willing to share their knowledge with our students. Thank you for having us and we definitely hope to return this year!
