People have been noticing that I’m looking leaner & have asked what I’m doing. Happy to share😊 I did the following to release 18 pounds & melt away 12 inches over past 8 months & get back to where I was before perimenopause hit 3 years ago. Check out all the photos. One back fat roll gone! Yes I’m a work in progress. ❤️Intermittent Fasting - I follow a 16/8 plan. 16 hours I fast & 8 hours I eat whatever I want. I LOVE this way of eating-freedom & flexibility. 💙Healthy Eating- 80% of the time I eat mostly a plant based diet. 20% of the time I indulge with sweets, have seconds & eat out. No restrictions! 💜Essential Oils - Support my fasting & eating periods of the day. They distract me from thinking about being hungry. They enhance my cooking & energize my workouts. I diffuse or wear them as perfume to feel happy, motivated, calm during the day. Less stress & emotional eating! 💛 I’m no runner but I run 2-3 miles 2-3 times a week. Afterwards I do a series of body & small weight exercises. I also do HIIT workouts 1-2 times a week. It is one of the best exercises for the 40 & up crowd. I need to amp up the HIIT workouts in 2019! 💚Pilates a couple of times a week. Long standing back issues require my core to stay strong. It is the only exercise I have stuck with ever! Real life, most of the time I have to crop a kid out of my comparison photos. Honestly I take a ton, mostly to keep myself accountable. I try not to make them look perfect though, my wall in the back has needed a repaint for almost a year I started and stopped, the door that the mirror hangs on has one of my kids names in permanent marker. Could I find a better spot? Hey, hey, it is FRI-YAY!. . I don’t know about you, but I’m super excited....the hubs is back from a business trip, I’m not solo parenting and I’m psyched about finishing my Christmas shopping, but let’s first chat about how I stay on track during vacation. . Here’s a shot of my FAVORITE 👙🐚🌊 beach we we stayed at while in Nerja, Spain....just gorgeous and not like most local beaches we have near Washington, DC. . I was able to successfully go on vacation for two weeks, enjoy all the local food in Morocco and Spain.....indulge frequently and not gain a pound. I actually don’t weigh myself ever, but just gauge how my clothing fits. . How did this magic happen??. 🌟INTERMITTENT FASTING🌟. . 🌟I eat within an 8 hour window. 🌟I eat a balance of healthy protein, carbs and fats. 🌟My blood sugar is stable. 🌟My energy is INSANE, even with the time differences. 🌟I sleep like a CHAMP. 🌟I stay lean. 🌟Eating those calories within the window, keeps you on track bc the rest of the time your body can digest your food and go on “reset”. 🌟It requires NO special pills/powders/potions and NO crappy chemical laden junk to get through it. 🌟I’m fat adapated.....which means i’m an efficient machine. . How’s this for some crazy scale numbers?!! Not sure what it all means, but it’s been an interesting experiment. These are my daily losses on the scale during 5 days of a water-only fast ... and I’m still going! Wonder if all that lost weight will return once I start eating again.🤔Time will tell, I guess. For now, I’m feeling ok and enjoying giving this a bash. It’s actually nowhere near as hard as I expected

I was trying so dang hard to have my collar bones show in the picture on the left (AUGUST 2018). Picture on the right however I was just trying to show how loose my new tank top ended up being, I couldn’t believe it! And then when I looked at the pic, my jaw dropped at how much I could see my beautiful strong collar bones when I wasn’t even thinking about trying to make them show so I would look ‘skinnier’ (NOV. 2018). NO LIE...#extendedfasting is not easy. It's TOTALLY worth the benefits, but, yeah...it takes a serious mental commitment. It's been a rough week for me. A family member passed away yesterday. I'm still fasting without deviation, but Man...! Comfort food would feel so good right now. Emotional eating is not going to bring back my loved one. Logically, I understand this. I'm facing a serious Yin/Yang struggle with emotional eating right now. I keep reminding myself, "IT AIN'T OVER UNTIL I WIN!"

So I suck big time at tracking for IG 😂 for my next experiment I need to get better - I will go overload and post non stop...just to get into the habit of tracking things. The accountability is very important for me! Today I made sure to choose healthier options for eating since I have been going way overboard on my eating days in the last week. So without pictures, I had my regular strawberry/banana smoothie with greens for breakfast, a peanut butter wonder whip (Greek yogurt, peanut butter and some maple syrup) and then a cup of raw veggies , a snack of cheese and crackers and a few baby carrots and supper was pasta with tomatoes and balsamic vinegar. I only got about 6 of my 10 cups of water today - must improve on that. Like a lot of us, she had no support and was constantly under negativity during her journey. As you can see she rose above all of it and serves as an inspiration to even me! She was weighing in at 360 pounds and got herself down to 142 pounds. Yea… 218 pounds! This was a 3 year journey and the most amazing part of it to me was how it happened for her. She was ready for a change so she tried out weight watchers, restricted her calories for about 5 months in which 25 pounds came off. She started trying new things such as eliminating carbs because she said what was helping her the most was listening to her body. It's much healthier to make your pizza at home. You know exactly whats in it. You can decide if you want a vegan pizza or a glutenfree one or low fat, low carb, high protein or whatever you fancy. Also you can easily involve your kids in the kitchen. They can knead the dough, roll out their own pizza and decide what they want on it. Perfect for fuzzy kids. Homemade pizza dough is so easy. It only takes a few more minutes to make than a frozen pizza...plus an hour rising...but its worth it. Only one store bought pizza can contain a whole days worth of calories. Thats crazy. In the time your dough is rising you can learn for your next test, do your homework, clean the house, do your workout, play a game or make music. You don't lose this time. Use it for whatever has to be done. We always load our pizza with vegetables to make it healthier. Sometimes we like to add a bit of chicken or low fat ham. Ok y’all! I’m done! I’m really pleased with my results. I really wanted to get rid of bloat and a little weight. I like fasting because when I fast, I know I’ve come a long way. Before keto+IF, I couldn’t go longer than 4-5 hours without eating or I’d get the WORST headaches. I’d eat a huge meal and be thinking about my next snack/meal within an hour. This is a major accomplishment for me! A #nsv I guess! Also, YES! The scale is showing that I’m 323.2 (typo in photo), but idk if I want to say that I’m #100lbsdown just yet. Oftentimes, after a fast, I gain back a pound or two, so I’m going to wait until it’s official official! This fast was pretty good! The first 24 hours weren’t a big deal. Around 48 hours, I really started to feel hunger, or at least the desire to eat. The last 12 hours were definitely hard! I kept an extremely close eye on the clock! During the fast, I took two water pills, magnesium, and I added Himalayan pink salt to my water. I did start to feel weaker in the last 8 hours or so, and it was because I definitely did not have enough salts. Next time, I’ll be sure to do that a little better! Edit: I decided to break my fast with broccoli (2oz pictured). I quickly ate a total of 6oz, so I’m going to let that digest and have something a little bigger in a few hours. I’m not going to stop eating at a specific time tonight. im thinking of starting by 1000 and then each day going down in my cals by 100 (1000 to 900 to 800 ect) so that way i feel more in control and then once i hit my goal weight with it going back to following diet plans cause when i would just jump straight into dieting plans it would make me want to binge and then i would scramble to fix it and then end up in a binge cycle so hopefully doing that will help prepare me for diets

I am hitting my next milestone and starting my last lap in this hurdle. 360 hrs (15 days) of no food 120hrs (5 days) to go. I already reached and surpassed my goal. New Goal is to maintain for as long as I can. Warning fasting is not for everyone. I struggled. So it’s TIME! 🙌🏻💪🏻 I don’t know if anyone can relate, but I made a goal a couple months ago that I was going to be a certain weight by the end of the year!? Well, I made some major progress in the summer and then I’ve stayed stagnant due to honestly just laziness! I’ve maintained my initial loss by doing Orange Theory and keeping my eating window between 4 to 10 hours depending, but that’s just not good enough for me! There’s no push 👊🏻 required in your mind whatsoever if you just seek to “maintain” homeostasis all the time. I believe it’s important to always be staging the next goal so your mind will assist you as it comes up with the solutions. There’s 19 more days in the month and I want to lose 10lbs of FAT (not muscle). How do I plan on doing this? INTERMITTENT FASTING, LONGER TERM FASTING, OMAD (one meal a day) and V-Tox (detoxifies at a cellular level without sending you to the 🚽 bathroom all day)! I’ve also let myself get addicted to sugar again 😵 and I’m going to be using one of our products called V-slim to help with that (plus assists with fat burning). I learned something through this, if we want results over the long term we gotta keep our eye on the ball! This is the biggest reason for my failures over the years is not keeping my eye on the ball! 🙀 Sounds simple stupid 🤪, but it really is the truth and in this case I’ve learned “less is more!” If we complicate our minds with SOOO MUCH “STUFF” then you can never make any good decisions! 🤯 Time to de-clutter my mind and ‘deflate’ my body of the rest of this fat 😂! Anyone want to challenge themselves right now with the holidays? CANDIED PEANUTS 🥜 . These are addictive! Super delicious! Coating is Monk Fruit, Cinnamon and Cayenne 🌶️ . . . Recipe: 7 cups peanuts, roasted or raw, unsalted 1 cup monk fruit 1 cup water 2 Tbsp cinnamon 1 tsp cayenne . Instructions: 1. In a large pot, over medium heated burner, cook the peanuts, water and monk fruit, stirring frequently and stir until all the water has dissolved, could take up to 20 minutes. 2. Heat oven to 200 degrees F 3. Spread peanuts across baking pans, sprinkle with cinnamon and cayenne and toss around to coat the entire peanut and roast in oven for 30 minutes, check them every 10 minutes to ensure they are not over cooking. 4. Remove from oven, let cool and then store in an air-tight container. . TIP: store in freezer otherwise you risk eating the entire bag in an afternoon!

Now that you read the first 3 rules, you did your research on sleep, nutrition, and started to change to more active habits: you need to ask yourself what is you real goal? What are you looking for vs what are you currently capable of? Look 👀 not everyone was made with the same cookie cutter. Get that right. You heard right “you cannot be whatever you want to be”. You might get close, but at the end of your body was not made for it, you are done. So be honest to yourself and set realistic goals. After rules 1-3 you are getting to know more about you and you need to determine a little path to follow towards your next training level. Please please please!! AVOID KEEPING UP WITH THE JONESES. Don’t do the “latest training trend” just because. Do what works for you, period. My personal suggestion: induce training little by little. The last thing you want is that your own training becomes stressful. I would even suggest to start with Bodyweight movements. Learn your movements before going heavy. If you start a lifting discipline, then make sure to dedicate time for technique work. Stop the rush!
