Every single day find gratitude in the little things.
As we go on through our day to day life we are at a constant state of tension. Our shoulders are in line with our ears, our jaw is clenched so much that it just feels natural. We stress about money, relationships, jobs, or debt. We are focused on things that happened in the past, or things that haven’t even happened yet! We psych ourselves our that it limits us from our now, and being the best version of ourself for the future.
I have recently started to appreciate the little things in my day and I know I’ve talked about this before but slowwwiinnnggg down helps tremendously. For instance, my matcha tea 🍵 I had this morning. Something as little as a small cup of tea made my body warm, and soft and for that I found gratitude. Stop wishing your life away. Stop wishing for the weekend, or for that big party you and your friends are going to attend in a month. Stop wishing it was the end of March so you could just move already (yeah, hi 👋🏼, that’s me 👈🏼). Instead focus on your right now. Focus on how you felt this morning after you did a sweat-sesh. Focus on how that fast food at lunch made you feel. Did it satisfy you? Or did it just feed a hunger that you’re inching to fulfill. Be grateful you’re able to have feelings, whether it be anger, sadness, or or just simply feeling too full. Because at the end of the day your gratitude toward your now, your attitude you cary will shine bright in every smile you share. 😀
