We all struggle in life. We all get hurt. We all have days/weeks/months, where we feel down and maybe even ask ourselves "what's the point". Where we feel as though we cannot go on.
Some of us struggle more, some of us less but we all go through it at one point or another. Some of us hide their struggles and the accompanying pain/sorrow a lot better than others.
Putting on a brave face, hiding our pain behind a smile, because we don't want to be a burden, an inconvenience to others. Or because we feel someone else might not understand what we're going through.
So we plough on, oftentimes not dealing with the emotional pain that was caused by an event/experience we went through. We feel as though we're alone, alone amongst others who feel the same, yet it feels difficult at times to reach out, to say "I'm not myself today, I'm struggling and I need help". We feel shame in reaching out because we don't want others to think that we're weak, that we're less of a person or that there's something wrong with us in not being able to "fix" the situation, i.e. our emotional pain/feeling down etc.
Let me tell you something. Reaching out and asking for help is not a sign of weakness, it's a sign of strength. And it doesn't mean that we want others to "fix" us by reaching out. Sometimes all we need is someone to listen to us, a different perspective, an encouraging word to give us the confidence to deal with whatever we're struggling with.
I just want you guys to always remember that you're loved ❤ you're worth it ❤ you're beautiful ❤ this world needs you ❤ you're stronger than you think ❤
