This isn't today but it's an example of a coping mechanism I have when I'm feeling like I am today.
The day I took this photo, I couldn't get out of bed at first, I tried just getting a bit more sleep, I tried just watching something and distracting myself, meditation, thinking about happy things. I couldn't do anything to get out of bed or my unhappy state.
During that time, I was able to message my boyfriend and he sent me encouraging messages and helped me break everything down into tiny steps, he literally said things like "sit up and smile" and "just fold back the covers of the bed" "Try to get to the bedroom door" and my competitive brain turned it all into a game and even though it took hours to get downstairs and make toast and do one bit of cleaning, I challenged myself tiny bit by tiny bit and made it out of bed.
I'm not saying that will always work or even has worked for me every time because that's not the case but breaking things down does help and it is something you can do by yourself or with support.
