My Vlogmas efforts have come to a halt for the 48 hrs due to this volunteer work week turning all kinds of haywire on me. Videos have been recorded, I promise. Just have had ZERO time to throw into an editor & even look at them for 2.5 seconds. We'll get there.
But here it is. 10:56 pm on a Tuesday and I'm sitting here reviewing notes from interviews, going through action items, sending follow up emails, organizing incoming data, spreadsheets, process documents - you name it. And this is only at 35-45% of my job this week. I still gotta run the dang test, take sample sizes, run through processes & procedures, verify the follow the documentation for said process/procedure, look for anomalies, dig into the best practices, identify any discrepancies, write up my findings, write up a report out on what I did, how I did it, & who I interviewed to learn how to do it.
It's alot. But I oddly love it. It's stressful but I get to meet sooo many people from every corner of the organization. I get to go through the weeds, I walk through the documentation (or there lack of) & have to prove - provide evidence - on how successful my counterparts are. It's unreal. We take for granted the small things. Being efficient & effective - the irony of talking about those concepts whilst walking in the cold ❄ at 11:12pm...
