Carrying on with some proper resolution rescans of old negs. This is the_first_shot I ever made with my , a lovely camera that I passionately hated for the first months I owned it. I paid way too much of it, the EV-metering was super clumsy at first, and finding a replacement solution for mercury battery cells took for a while. In addition, the itself was misaligned for along time until I learned to fiddle with one. Closeups were all out of focus for the first five or ten rolls. No better way to ruin a relationship with a camera. Now that I know the olys’ quirks, it’s become my very favorite piece of equipment. I originally hated this shot, too; it was bland, overexposed (thanks to the unfunctional battery cell solution the seller proposed) and uninspiring in every imaginable way. When scannin the neg again I accidentally desaturated the image into b&w, and all of a sudden everything started to make sense. Exposed on by in , .
