🌿 Stress! What’s it really doing to you? __ We have all had a stressful day, where nothing seems to go quite right and you get into bed that night totally exhausted. But what happens when stress just becomes a normal part of your life? And what’s that stress doing to your mind and body in the long run? __ It’s sending your endocrine system (the system that manages your hormones) into OVERDRIVE, releasing cortisol and adrenaline into your body. These two hormones help you to manage dangerous situations by putting you into fight or flight mode, a sort of hyper vigilance. __ This hyper vigilance can cause you to store weight (from a survival mode so that you won’t starve) or rapidly lose weight (so that you can move faster). It also causes anxiety to develop, leading to panic attacks and so on.... __ Eventually your mind and body had slipped into overwhelm!!! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ __ Sound familiar? __ Have you had enough?? __ Fed up of being trapped in that vicious stress circle?
