A look at my day in food:
You’ve asked, so here’s a look at my mama fuel!
BREAKFAST: I try to eat breakfast with the girls or at least make extra so I can eat when I have a hand. This was oranges, scrambled organic eggs, avocado, and @ toast with @. I would personally add spinach/broccoli/mushrooms to my eggs, but I don’t usually have time to make them two ways and the girls are still learning to like veggies in their eggs so these are plain jane
AM SNACK: Our morning snacks are often on the go/out and about so I usually eat a @ and the rest of my (cold) coffee (put into my @ or @ tumbler if we’re going out)
LUNCH: leftover roasted sweet potatoes, broccoli, and organic chicken sausage. I would’ve eaten twice this amount (based on my appetite this day) but these were all the leftovers we had left, so I added some berries and almonds to help fill me up. I eat after I put the kids down for quiet time so my lunch isn’t usually the same as theirs
AFTERNOON SNACK: toast (made with @ whole grain bread) with @ cashew butter and slices bananas. I have an afternoon cup of coffee every day also
DINNER: BYO Salad bar night with greens, an assortment of veggies, chicken, almonds, goat cheese, and avocados with @ ranch (not shown). We also had @ (not shown). We eat dinner as a family so the girls had the same options (minus the whole almonds for B)
PM SNACK: I eat a snack EVERY NIGHT. I’m always hungry for one. It varies greatly what it is, but one of my faves is this vanilla almond butter from @ with apple slices
Note: I have no idea how many calories this is and have never tracked my macros. I have gluten-sensitivity so I follow a gluten-free diet; otherwise, I’m not on any special diet. I do add in more fat, fiber, and protein these days while my appetite is increased from breastfeeding and training for a half. Otherwise, I just aim to eat the 🌈 as many days as I can. Some days, I eat more than this. Some days, I eat less. Like the posts of my girl’s diets, these are just intended to give a glimpse at some of the foods we eat and variety we enjoy in a day.
