You know the feeling. You walk into a gym, and don’t know where to start. Googling exercises and drop sets and reps...but how many of what are you supposed to be doing? And if it starts to burn after 5, why would you want to push yourself to 8? Or you’re at the grocery store trying to eat healthy, but after a couple days of broiled chicken and steamed broccoli, you’ve lost it and eaten an entire 9x13 vanilla buttercream sheet cake. Or you think you’ll do some workouts at home, but there’s a two hour special episode of Grey’s Anatomy so you skip tonight which turns into a week and suddenly you feel like it’s a lost cause. Sound familiar? We’ve all been there, and it’s tricky to navigate your way through.
What you need is someone with insight and education, and a genuine desire to see you achieve your goals while celebrating along side you through all of the little milestones. You need someone to cheer you on when you do 12 burpees when a month ago you couldn’t get through 8. You need someone to say “hey, I know that happens sometimes. Let’s figure out why and get back on track” when your diet gets a little off track. You need someone to send your weekly at home work outs to, holding you accountable and encouraging you. You need a personal trainer.
