Along this health & happiness journey I hear people often say “I only lost...(fill in the blank)”. As if a number on the scale is the only indicator of their success and healthiness. My arms are shaking typing this after today’s workout! Back & Bi’s 💪🏼 My trainer challenged me to go up in weight. I tried my best, but my body was like “Hell-to-the-No” with some of the moves. But you know what... I DIDN’T QUIT! I definitely thought about it but decided to drop my weights at exhaustion, focus on form, & keep pushing through 🙌🏼 It’s not always easy. Some days you do feel stronger then others. But whatever you do DON’T give up! This journey is so much more mental than physical. Keep showing up and giving it your best now matter how little it may seem. Truth be told, some days getting up out of bed may be giving it your all. And THAT’S OKAY TOO. ✨You can do this! ✨You are stronger than you think, mentally & physically! ✨You will overcome this! This little face has been creeping into our room the past few nights for various reasons. She ended up snuggled up with her head in my side all night. But she woke up happy, so that's all that counts even if mama was a tad uncomfortable. ❤️ Love that these kiddos push me to reach a little higher in life. I dont do drive thrus (or fast food) often, but this morning, I have a sore throat so I go to CFA for a diet lemonade with no ice because you get less drink if theres ice in it (duh) 😉. I leave with a cup full of ice and a little diet lemonade 🙄 But I'm also too nice to tell a stranger they did it wrong (if it was my husband on the other hand...🤣) #morningfails • Got my 4 miles in this morning before work (yay!) and weighed in at 149. I'm floating between 147 and 154 much more commonly than I'd like to admit, these days. I know the number does not define me, but I know the number that I feel best about myself at. I weigh regular because I know how quickly it can spiral out of control. Our beach trip is coming up and I'm working hard to be a number that I feel comfortable and confident about for running around in my bathing suit chasing my toddler 🙃

I was the serial weight loss/"diet" quitter. I cannot even tell you how many Monday's came and went. How much money I wasted on fad diets and stupid supplements and gym member ships. Sound familiar?! I can’t stop smiling this morning 😃 I ordered these size 1 jeans online a few weeks ago, but never tried them on because I was too nervous they wouldn’t fit. I’ve been slacking on my diet for the last 2 weeks and the scale is moving in the wrong direction. So I tried the jeans on this morning... expecting them to not fit and serve as motivation for me to refocus.. but they fit!!! Now I’m SUPER motivated to stay in them! They may be a “big” size 1 but I don’t care. That tag size 1!! Was not feeling like it this morning. That’s ok. Feelings change. Once I started going it was good. Do your feelings match up with your goals? It’s ok if they don’t. Feelings change and if you act on your goals your body will remember and your feelings will align. How do you overcome negative feelings? This is me today, unfiltered, completely drenched in sweat. Let’s be real for a minute. Working out is HARD! But not being comfortable in your clothes is even harder! Every ounce of me wanted to quit after the 1st rep. I didn’t sleep good last night. I wanted to throw in the towel, quite literally. I missed reps and took extra breaks 🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️ It’s OK!! As part of my #keepingitreal movement I’ve got going on here, I figure I should express that I’m not really interested in perfection this week. I may workout and eat well, I may not 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’ve got a girls day/night planned on Saturday and I know my diet will consist of “whatever the fuck I want” 😊 So because of that I’m not really focused on going hard core this week. However starting Monday(8/20) I plan to challenge myself to 4 weeks of hard core dedication. I also will be tracking my journey on a completely new Instagram account. Which is TBA at a later time. That is if I even choose to share it. Which as of right now I don’t plan to 🤪 Happy Tuesday Peeps ✌🏻
