TRUTH - I did NOT want to workout this morning at all. I was tired and just wasn’t feeling motivated! 🤭 If I have learned anything on my journey, it’s in times like today, that’s when I need to push play the most. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not always easy to do and it took some self talk to get started. Yes- I talk to myself sometimes. But Speaking positive affirmations to myself to get my mindset focused so I could push play ..... • I am stronger then my excuses • I love myself enough to push play • I am worth the struggle • I have the power to create change • I am strong Is SO worth because it worked. I dropped the negative nelly attitude, pulled up my big girl pants and got the job done! The best part, it changed my attitude and left me feeling proud and accomplished. I committed to this program, I want to show up and want to give it my all! We ALL struggle to want to do the good things for ourselves. And sometimes it comes down to mind over matter. Speak truth, speak positively to yourself, don’t give up and I promise the end results will always be worth it.

Initially there was some kick back from those in our 80 day group with this timed nutrition thing. Turns out it’s super easy to follow; all it takes is some planning and organization….which we all need in our life anyway! It’s awesome to see how this professional plan is doable for everyone; busy moms, night shift workers, teachers, etc. . . . Having the alarm set on my phone is a MUST for me. It takes my focus off food. Since I have it all planned, prepped and the alerts set I’m finding I don’t worry, stress, scramble or anxiously await my next meal. . . . I don’t know about any one else but I needed a break from the booze after Christmas so am really enjoying being alcohol free this month and wanted to share my absolute favourite go to mocktail! . Simply mix Soda water, juice of half a lime, a few pieces of cucumber, mint and crushed ice to your most expensive crystal glass (yes it makes a difference) and you’ve got yourself an incredibly satisfying drink that doesn’t make you feel like your missing out 👌🏼 Honestly you may not think that this would satisfy the craving or be a fair substitute for the alcoholic variety but 100% it does! One of my favorite ways to open the shoulders is to use a therband. (Yes, we use these in barre class) The extra give and resistance of the band makes the stretch feel more open and just awesome. Try it out! Don’t have a theraband? Use some stretchy yoga pants or leggings! (Video speed is x2, the slower the better! ❤️)

Did you know that Monday was BLUE MONDAY? I had no idea that was a thing until my husband started telling me about it! The ‘calculated’ Monday to be BLUE was the 15th but apparently it could be any Monday in and around now! WHAT IS IT??? AS the Christmas memories fade, all we are left with are a hammered bank account, a bulge around the waist, gloomy weather and a return to work after weeks of partying. These factors all come together in a perfect storm for a single day believed to be the most depressing of the year which has been dubbed ‘Blue Monday’. Is anyone feeling like that? I am complete opposite to that right now! I’m am loving life and here’s why! 💪🏻 I stared a new fitness & nutrition program and feel amazing 💵 Today is pay day for me and I ❤️ love my job! 👩🏻‍💻 I ❤️ my job (yes I just said that!) but I love my challengers, working from home, the fun message threads with my team...... sharing goals and having fun...... having goals! I grew up on canned veggies 😂 like I think most of my generation did 🙌 We rotated from peas, green beans, corn and of course cream corn 🙈👀 (which is still delicious by the way #sorrynotsorry 🤸) so it's no wonder I am the worlds pickiest eater, or more like I use to be! Thanks to my hubby for forcing me to try new things, I now like lots of different foods❤. When we first got together my idea of veggies was a salad with a shit ton of ranch or broccoli with cheese 😂😂😂😂 that was literally about it. The thing about our taste buds is they change but sometimes they need a little push go get there 🤙 so the past few days I have been pretty much forcing myself to eat cooked spinach because I like the taste, texture not so much🤢 lmao! But today when I cooked it I actually enjoyed it, A LOT 👏👏👏 I have learned more about nutrition the past year than I ever did in any nutrition class 😂 food shouldn't just come from a can, or a box haha! I am learning to LOVE whole foods. And my skin, body and mood is thanking me for it ✌💪❤👅

- Pull ups. - Without doubt one of my favourite movements for a number of reasons. - I don’t know anyone that doesn’t want to be able to do pull-ups or variations of them. - When I first started training in a Gym, this old guy would would jump up on the bar and smash out what seemed like hundreds of strict pull ups. I thought it was an amazing show of strength. - I could barely do 1 at the time. - I was embarrassed to get on the pull up bar and practice, as I didn’t want to seem weak. - His advice was get on the bar and start pulling, you are in the gym to get stronger and no one is going to look down at you improving yourself. - The gym on the outside can look to be an intimidating place, however, when you look under the surface, it is one of the most welcoming and supporting places. - If it’s not, then change your gym. - .@tkmma

Took undecided masters level courses. At least 80 hours of shadowing. Worked in critical care. Became a certified critical care RN. And many more things... ALL the things. I did ALL THE RIGHT THINGS, the ones I was told would get me in. They were right! I got interviews 2 different years in a row, except I DIDN’T GET ACCEPTED EITHER TIME. {{Ouch! That stings}} Do you know how that “I wasn’t good enough” feeling can last. It will linger into other areas of your life if you let it. I know because it’s happening to me. This isn’t the first I heard it, and it never makes it easier to swallow. Trying to BELIEVE that I am the only person that I need to be good enough for! I set the standard for my life! Just as you do for yours! So Incase no one told you today, “you, my friends, Are more than enough!” 😘
