Let’s talk proper form 🙆🏼♀️
Why is it important? Because if we are not lined up properly then the muscles we are trying to work won’t be able to activate properly. Instead we will be putting stress on the wrong body parts. I think something many people fail to realize is that every single muscle and joint in our bodies are connected, and when one can’t work properly then the rest have to try to over-compensate. Let’s use TRX rows here as an example- when working your back/lats there are a few compensations you want to look out for;
🙅🏼♀️ DON’T overarch your lower back- this prevents your lats from fully stretching and contracting, not to mention places the tension of the exercise square on your lower back.
🙅🏼♀️Make sure to keep your chest up and out for most back exercises, as it will allow the back to contract fully & will help maintain a neutral spine.
🌟 Remember that a stable core/spine is a STRONG foundation & will allow you to move and lift heavy weights safely. Don’t try lifting heavy things until your foundation is trained properly!
Hope this helped some of you guys— I will be doing a Q & A video tonight, so please send or comment some questions for me to answer. Keep on rockin, everyone! 🙋🏼♀️
