April 22nd 🌎 Earth Day. A reminder that we should be doing everything we can to make safe and environmentally friendly contributions to preserve the earth and its natural resources - our water, our air, and land. It’s also a reminder of all of the devastation that has already been created.
I recently came across an article where a sperm whale was found washed up on shore, and in her stomach they found about 69 pounds of plastic. Not to mention the countless images that you can find of our oceans polluted with all kinds of plastic debris. It’s heartbreaking to witness and think about all all of the animals that are suffering and how our beautiful earth is being polluted and destroyed. The current best estimate is that 150 million tons of plastic currently circulate in marine environments, according to the Ocean Conservancy. Another 8 million tons of plastics enter the oceans each year. #endplasticpollution #choosetoreuse .
As a fitness instructor I drink water like it’s my job! And anyone who works out, you know we produce a lot of sweat and it’s so so important to stay hydrated. But, instead of buying plastic bottles of water - invest in a reusable water bottle. I know that just buying a bottle of water to get you through the workout seems harmless but, think about how many time you have done that in the month? past 6 months? It really adds up. This is a small thing we can do that makes a large impact. #earthday2018 #earthdayeveryday
