What a fun couple of days! I did yoga this morning then hung out in the sun in Bondi with the Gymshark crew! 🙌🏼 I have only ever done yoga once in my life many years ago and after today I think it’s something I should start doing more of! It’s so good to stretch, unwind and spend time focusing on the “breath”. I have always struggled with slowing down and being calm and I can get stressed and overwhelmed pretty easily. When you feel like that it’s your body telling you something isn’t right and it’s important to listen to it! Short story: I’m cleared and no longer have scoliosis! Longish story: I’ve been in chiropractic care for almost 10 months now and I’ve put in a lot of time, effort, and money into healing. And of course I have the best doctors ever. Before all of this I was in a lot of pain every single day and it hurt to get out of bed, walk upstairs, play sports, anything in your daily activity was uncomfortable and I constantly had to rest. But enough about that. Here’s the X-ray stuff PRE: I had a 25° curve, heavily rotated spine, uneven hips, my disc was being squished, and I had problems in my neck as well. Post 1: I reduced my curve to 15.2°, still rotation in my spine, my hips leveled out quite a bit, my disc was less squished, and my neck still had work to do. A great improvement but still a lot to fix Post 2: my curve increased to 17° because my hips leveled out almost perfectly, still have a little rotation, my disc remained nearly the same, my neck improved. This one was good and bad Final post: my spine reduced to the best it’s been, 15° flat, my hips are a little uneven again but it’s manageable, my disc is at a much lower risk of being a problem, my neck has improved a lot but there’s a few things I still need to fix, I have ZERO rotation. Conclusion: I’m cleared to run and exercise again but there are select things I should never do again to protect myself. I am relieved and every day I’m thankful to not be in so much pain anymore. This is what almost 3 weeks of a completely #plantbased diet looks like 🌿💪🏻 Add to that I’ve been doing a cut over the past few weeks AND killing it at Barrys/the gym - y’all I’m feeling GREAT about my progress towards my body goals 🥳 Giving up all meat, dairy, eggs, you have it for a completely vegan diet has been the BEST decision I’ve made this year (I know we’re only 3 weeks in but still 😂)! I’ve seen massive changes in my body, energy levels, and overall well being ever since we made this change on New Years Day ✨ But to be completely honest, I was a little doubtful at first what changes I would see or if we could even keep this going for that long. But 3 weeks in & both Omar and I are loving this whole vegan thang 💖🌍 If y’all ever have any Q’s about trying out a plant-based or just reducing your meat consumption, Omar and I always here to help!
