Week 18 | May 25, 2018 | I worked in a 3-turn into my partial waltz eight pattern, so now it's a backwards swing roll into a backwards mohawk into a forward outside 3-turn, repeat, whoohoo! My left leg is being silly and still figuring out how to combine the first two elements and therefore is not pictured here. Spirals progress is happening! Today my coach started introducing me to the basics of a bunny hop - we did some off-ice jumping and some jumping by the board, ahh. Didn't get to finish the bunny hop lesson, so it's where we're picking up next week!

Fun Friday flow with @winterbrocade has me feeling fit, flexy and...focused? (Ran out of "F" words). But I'm focused because I need to commit myself to flex training. I've been having trouble getting used to the ways my body has changed while getting stronger. I've lost so much flexibility sometimes my body doesn't even feel familiar. Skin update: photo taken couple days ago when my skin was slowly healing (wearing foundation and concealer) but today I’m having an exacerbation of acne on my chin and around the mouth.. I blame the huge glass of Kombucha that I had. Too much at once and not enough water!! Did some research and found that acne prone skin can purge from kombucha. Although most people’s skin will benefit from drinking kombucha, I don’t think my body tolerated the one I had and the amount I had. Same with people taking probiotics and seeing an amazing change in their acne, while others get cystic acne flare with probiotics. One source explains that introducing new gut bacteria from kombucha causes your body to try to accommodate for the new bacteria by excreting the bad bacteria, in turn increasing sebum production and causing the skin to purge.
