Trained chest, shoulders and triceps this morning and it was one of those sessions that reminded me why I do this. I left the gym feeling like a new person, with a renewed sense of purpose and direction and excited to get on with my day 💙 nothing keeps me grounded like fitness does. . . I used to train very early (6-7 am) in the morning and after today I think I’m going to start doing it again! I feel like it improves my mood for the day so much 🌞

What's your morning muscle fuel?💪I have perfected my vegan omelette to be fluffy, tasty and fully of protein - no frying necessary:). Crumbled tofu, coupled with soy flour, nutritional yeast, indian black salt (if you like the taste of eggs), cayenne pepper, diced green onion and oregano. I recommend using a nonstick pan to avoid frying. A whopping 25 grams of protein in these two little patties 💪 I'm ready for leg day 😛

I used to write posts on nutrition, specifically about my diet and show every single meal I had during the day in my ig stories but too many people got sensitive about the amount of food I was consuming 😛 plus right now it seems like every single diet can work for you, and it WILL if you stick to this one universal law - CALORIE INTAKE. A while ago I used to count all my calories and had my macros under control. During that time I got my abs. One might assume it is because I did all that but those times are long gone and the abs are still here 👋🏻 I don’t count calories because if I start my mind will get restless and I will want to eat less so I could get less calories:))) I am pretty sure I consume AT LEAST 2000 calories everyday)) maybe more) I don’t think about it. I think it will be way better to think of the quality of food, especially nowadays) 80% of all antibiotics in the world are consumed by animals...just saying)) We are all different in the amount of energy we spend. Some people need 1200 calorie diet with 50% protein to get their abs (please don’t do that if you need your liver to function 🙅🏻‍♀️) Some people (hello 🙋🏻‍♀️) can eat 2000 at least, get zero protein (remember, plants 🌱 have no protein😅) and have some kind of abs. It is all about life. If a body needs muscle for its everyday tasks, then it will put on some muscle. This is my opinion, yours can be different and it is okay 👌🏻. Today is legs day and I'm ready !!! 💪 . . I really love my workout program, I'm eager for every next day, and looking forward for every next workout ,even though some exercise are challenging. Going to the gym and get my workout done for me is like having important meeting with myself. I do lift only heavy and 2 to 3 days I do short cardio,10min run or 15min up heal fast walking. And always push myself to the max, but I do listen to my body ❤️. . Now I'm in improving = bulking 😊, feeding and shaping my muscles = growing, so that's mean I don't count calories but I try to eat clean and enjoy delicious vegan food, only I look to hit my protein intake, and that's easy job. Still I look pretty lean, very happy with that... . I don't know of anything that can change you inside out like bodybuilding does. Not only I change - shape my body, but I change, my attitude, my life and change the way I do things. #postworkout vegan power bowl! 🌿 Lately I've been making creamy dressings and sauces with soaked cashews and fresh herbs. They're loaded with antioxidants, immune boosters, protein and satiating healthy fats. 👊 Nutritious, delicious AND pretty? That's the ultimate trifecta for food, so I'm waaay into boosting my meals this way. ☺️ . To make : soak 1 cup raw cashews in boiling water for 1 hour plus. Drain, rinse and add to a high speed blender. Add water until just covering the cashews and then add juice of two ✌️ lemons, two✌️ garlic cloves, a glug of olive oil and an extra large handful of fresh herbs. Blend until smooth. I've used dill here, but parsley, cilantro and basil are all delicious. 🌿 . Great over pasta, with roasted vegetables or potatoes, on a salad or as a raw veggie dip. . The #buddhabowl I had today was also filled with arugula, kale, red pepper, avocado, kumara and roasted chickpeas. Such a great way to refuel! 💪💪💪 . And speaking of fuel, my appetite has been off the hook recently 📞 so I'm listening to my body and eating more! 🙌 I try not to overload at meals because it makes me feel bloated and gluggy, but Ive been eating allll the (nourishing) snacks. 😜 . I've been going big on snacks like home made protein muesli bars, grain - free bread with avocado, stove top popcorn with nutritional yeast, and banana with tahini and sea salt. 😋 My favourite treat at the moment is good quality dark chocolate with a dollop of peanut butter on top. One of the best ways to start the off season is hiking. Switzerland is so close to my hometown that it always feels like coming home. Today we finally made it on top of the Säntis. We tried to hike up there for several years but on the planned days we always had bad luck with weather conditions: too cloudy or too much snow. But today blue sky all day. Some parts with ice were already slippery but easy manageable with cable safety. Penne with Creamy Butternut Squash and Sage Sauce. This dish has actually been a long time fave that has evolved into fall food perfection over the past few years. And full disclosure...i don't know exactly how much of anything I put in. Ironically if I'm not developing recipes I don't measure a thing. The following measurements are estimates (sorry) but with a little tasting as you go, the end result will be a fabulous sauce. 1 1/2 cups roasted butternut squash, 3 cloves garlic, 1/2 cup soaked cashews, 3/4 to 1 cup almond milk (more to thin if needed), 1 tbsp miso, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 2 tbsp nutritional yeast, 2 tbsp chopped sage, salt, pepper and a dash of nutmeg. Blend to creamy perfection. Pour over noods. 🌮 🌮🌮 Every day is taco day! I recently listened to an amazing podcast about food waste and i was amazed! 45% of produce is straight up WASTED. And they pulled a stat that 8% of greenhouse gases come from food waste (obviously some waste occurs in our food system in ways we consumers don’t get to control.) however, you CAN control your grocery shopping and food usage. To save money and live on a #healthybudget, it’s so important to plan meals ahead so you reduce waste and maximize your weekly consumption! Plus, meal prepping helps you plan to eat healthier and not go hungry 👍🏼😁 So this weekend, friends and i made tacos, but what did i have leftover? Lots of corn tortillas 🌮🌮🌮 TIME FOR TACOS. Making chickpea and black bean tacos this week full of yummy veggies. Definitely loving these lunches 🤤And without wasting food. so here’s my taco strategy : each taco contains 1/2 can chickpeas, 1/3 green pepper, a couple slices of tomato, shredded lettuce and some mushrooms. And it’s topped off with chipotle seasoning and a little taco seasoning for flava flav. Following in the footsteps of @_foodie_n_fitness 😘 I want to take a moment to thank myself for the work I put in today and for all the days that have come before this. ❤️ I didn't always have the healthy coping mechanisms that come naturally to me now. I'm so grateful that when I feel grouchy or stressed, working out is my first instinct. 🙌 Getting into the zone and working up a good sweat is the best mood booster (and bad-mood buster) I know. 👊 Thanks @alexia_clark for the workouts that work up that sheen and take so much dang focus that I can't even think about anything else! 😜 . Thought this was a warm up circuit but I was on 🔥 halfway through. (I usually don't get @alexia_clark s emails until after I finish the workout, but I've just seen she said exactly this!😜) Did ten reps each and that meant there was basically no rest between minutes. Yowch 🤪 👊C2 The only circuit I used heavier weights (elbows in chest press) otherwise stuck to my five kg weights and went for quick smooth reps. 👊 C3 Loved the over the door exercises - fun to do these moves differently. 👊 C4 got up to 20 reps of each. Worked out that this is 90 reps total! (10+12+14+16+18+20) 🤯☠️🤯 thank goodness it went pretty quickly. . More fun with @tgivegan ‘s fried eggs 🍳 This time a made a hash brown patty and placed it at the bottom. I stacked a vegan fried egg on top, followed it with shaved Brussels sprouts, and then another vegan fried egg. I topped it with the hot sauce @myoungquest picked up from Fox & Fig in Savannah.
