was all time this year - congrats to all the competitors and setters! I finished in the top 10 of my category, which is my best ever result here.
Didnt realize at the time, but this event concludes my first official, dedicated competition climbing season. I caught the podium once (woot!) and otherwise was in the upper part of categories. Pretty happy about that but at the same time I know I can do better. I'm not sure that I'll have the time to dedicate next year, but my next goal would be to make a dent into the open cat. That's pretty far off and I have a couple climbing grades to improve on-sight capabilities on, but I think it's there.
Even if I dont compete again, I learned a ton about the mental aspects of the game. How to prepare, how to deal with the ups/downs, how to deal with expections and results. I learned the importance of on-sighting and efficiency - which is the biggest thing I'll take into all aspects of climbing moving forward.
If u got this far reading, cheers. I owe u a beer!
