03/20 - "SUMMERS IN GEIRANGERFJORD"
Majestic. Steep. Snowy. Those are the feelings you get from Geirangerfjord in early season. Snow all around you, some of the local roads are closed, peaks are covered by snow and hard to climb. You can reach them, but its smarter to wait for the sunny summer months. So you wait and dream. The peak on this photo is called Grindalsnibba, definitely not an easy one to reach and of the last ones I haven't summited yet. Or skied. Skiing is a big thing in May and June! But also, you really have to be careful where you go. The mountains in Geirangerfjord aren not super tall, but very steep and therefore avalanche friendly. Or unfriendly, if you think of humans, animals and farms. A lot of them was destroyed by avalanches in the last two centuries. So be careful where you go once you visit G-town in the spring!
