My nutrition plan makes life so stinking easy! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I can literally just throw pre-cooked, meal-prepped or quick and easy frozen foods in a bowl, and in less than 15 minutes have a healthy, delicious meal! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I love to make these "power bowls" using a simple formula: 1/2 bowl veggies 1/4 bowl protein 1/4 healthy carbs/whole grains *Of course no power bowl would be complete without some healthy fat and seasonings! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Perfect for busy days!

Good Morning World! I woke up this morning very much aware of the fact that being trigger today is INEVITABLE. I will have a longer work day than ideal for any day, let alone a Monday. I will have to battle traveling anxiety as I visit a youth in the Philadelphia area. I will have to ignore the fact that I am struggling with the chronic fatigue symptom of fibromyalgia. I will have to chip away at a larger-than-life To-Do List thanks to a 4 day migraine interfering with those day-to-day responsibilities. . latest evening YUM includes this protein cake in a mug with NO GUILT. seriously no guilt. no flour. no sugar. nothing to feel bad about. the whole thing (not including toppings is less than 200 calories!! AND HIGH PROTEIN) here ya go... •1-2 scoops chocolate protein powder (I used 2 scoops soy chocolate protein=130 calories) •1 egg white •2 tbsp organic pumpkin purée (no it won’t taste like pumpkin- just gives a gooey texture) •splash of unsweetened almond milk •dash baking powder •dash organic cinnamon (I put cinnamon in everything lol!) my toppings on this one= PB2 & dark chocolate chips 👅 microwave time will depend on microwave...I usually put mine in for about 2 min. this was 19g protein & 185 calories...calorie and protein content will depend on protein powder used (ps- topping calories not included!!)

Raw vegan avocado budha bowl recipe: Spiced Vegetables: Vegetable Ingredients 1 bellpeper 1 carrot 2 c. broccoli Sauce Ingredients 1 tbs. tahini 1/2 tsp. curry spices 1 tsp. garlic powder 1/2 lemon juiced Chop all vegetable ingredients and combine in a mixing bowl. Good morning and happy Thursday. These preworkout muffins are not only so yummy but so convenient when you have a busy morning and want to get your workout in but dont have the time to cook breakfast and then wait a while before working out.. There are many who like to workout fasted, but I cant. Tried it once and got sick. I need my AM fuel If anyone is interested in the recipe, its in an earlier post this past week or I can repost. Veggies/carbs/protein in one. I did a second batch yesterday but used butternut squash instead and I seem.to like it better than carrot. It's not as dry. I topped it with peanut free butter, 1/2 banana, and cinnamon. So I hear its World Menopause Day so I get to celebrate me, my mood swings 😄😫😡😬, my hot 😰 flashes. 🤣🤣🤣 yep I was one of those lucky ladies who was hit with this at 40. To those women going through this I'm with ya ✊ WOOSAH. So yes exercise regulates me and its free. I hear it's cold AF out here in the east coast so stay warm. cheddar sweet potato shepherds pie: I didn’t really measure anything or follow any directions so i’m sorry in advance...this is the best I can give ya: -bake sweet potatoes...I think I used like 8 really small ones so probably 4 or 5 normal size ones would work -brown 1 pound of meat (ground turkey, ground beef, etc.- I like to use lean ground beef) -in separate pan cut up an onion and caramelize -grease baking pan and put browned meat in pan along with caramelized onions -chop up TONS of veggies to add- I did tons of carrots, peas, celery, corn, lima-beans, & whatever sounds good to you -add all the veggies to the meat and onion -sprinkle with garlic seasoning -in separate bowl mash baked sweet potatoes and add milk (I used almond milk), salt, and cheddar cheese (or whatever sounds good to you). I did a BIG handful of cheddar cheese -lay potatoes on top of meat and veggie mixture -bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes -add more cheese, green onions, and seasoning and bake for another 5 min -ENJOY.

One of the best advice I was given was to meal prep. It has made my journey a little easy. Yes at first it was tedious and overwhelming. I was overthinking my meals, but once I learned to keep it simple it became a game changer. When people approach me on starting their weightloss journey the first advice I tell them is to let's work on refining their nutrition and PREP PREP PREP. It can get boring eating the same thing, but it works. It allows for little room to splurge in unhealthy eating, develop good habits, and save money. Eating out is not only expensive, but by making your own meals you have some control on what ingredients you put in your food. Always designate a day you can commit to meal prep because it can take hours and stick to it. Sundays seem to be the best as you can set the scope for the week. Be patient as you develop your routine. Sore muscles call for a large and in charge oatmeal bowl today especially with a long day ahead of me. 🍐 My body wants all the potassium it can get today 😄 🍌 This oatmeal bowl (consisting of oats, chia seeds, dates, banana & pear) has about 1,120 mg of potassium! Hydrating- especially during exercise - is so important. Not only does it help lubricate your joints and keep you from dehydration but it also helps regulate your body temperature. . . Although the no exact rules for how much water to drink while exercising, because everyone is different, The American Council on Exercise has suggested the following basic guidelines for drinking water before, during, and after exercise: •Drink 17 to 20 ounces of water 2 to 3 hours before you start exercising. •Drink 8 ounces of water 20 to 30 minutes before you start exercising or during your warm-up. •Drink 7 to 10 ounces of water every 10 to 20 minutes during exercise. •Drink 8 ounces of water no more than 30 minutes after you exercise. . . Many have asked so here ya go, HEALTHY SWEET POTATO BREAD!!! I have a ton of sweet potatoes and thought to myself how the heck am I going to eat all these?? then I looked up some banana bread recipes and figured out a way I could make a healthy gluten free bread out of sweet potatoes & let me tell you- it did not disappoint. • I didn’t add sugar to this though many banana bread, zucchini bread, pumpkin bread, etc. have tons of sugar in them so don’t expect it to be super sweet. For me, the sweetness level was perfect. Especially when drizzling it with almond butter & honey 👅👅 other topping ideas= chocolate chips, coconut, peanut butter, chia jam, or whatever your little heart desires. I thought about making a breakfast sandwich and using this as the bread because I believe it would be SO. GOOD. but I honestly ate the entire loaf within 24 hours so that didn’t happen 🙃😕 but if you try it, let me know how it goes! • INGREDIENTS- -1.5 cups of mashed sweet potato (I did no skin) -1 3/4 cup flour....I used @bobsredmill gluten free 1 to 1 baking flour but you could use whole wheat or whatever your favorite flour is -3 tsp baking powder -a couple dashes of salt -lots of tsp of cinnamon (cinnamon is by far my favorite spice 👅👅) if your not crazy about cinnamon 1 tsp will do! -couple dashes of nutmeg -tsp vanilla -2 eggs -1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil (or coconut oil if you’re about that life) -1/2 cup of honey....but next time i’ll probably do a full cup to make it sweeter 👅👅👅 • mix and mash all the ingredients together & place in a greased pan then bake at 350 for 40 minutes. (mine took 40 min in my oven with the gluten free flour but time could vary so after 35 minutes I would frequently check- could take up to an hour though) • & there ya have it y’all!! more Fall & more sweet potato recipes are coming soon 👅👅 • HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!

Weirdest dinner combo and coloring! Thats what was up tonight! I was tired and didnt feel like cooking so, I just went with it. Thats reality, all meals arent insta picture worthy 🤷‍♀️😂😂😂 I've been feeling extra bingey (is that a word??) lately and I use coloring as a way to keep my hands busy, plus I also love it so double win! I swear not all days are easy! Some days Im all in mentally and other days its a mental struggle allllll damn day! But as I sit here sippin my tea in bed, I know I did it...stayed strong at least for today. thanks to hurricane michael, my entire thursday schedule was wiped clean 🙄 so when I am usually up, running around, teaching class, working out I was in bed, alarm free. had a nice slow morning with time for a delicious breakfast, a very different thursday vibe but surprisingly so lovely after a long day of teaching yesterday. is anyone else obsessseeeedddd & I mean obsessed with @traderjoes cauliflower gnocchi??? I literally went to 3 locations within 3 days because the first 2 locations were out of it!! if you do- what’s your favorite way to prepare it???
