one of the biggest things I see people missing in their diet, and it is CRUCIAL to
EVERY. SINGLE. WEIGHT. GOAL.
Whether its putting on muscle, losing weight or gaining weight, you need this. What is it?
When I have clients first track their meals, something that i would say almost 90% of people do is undereat protein.
Protein is the building blocks for TONS of things.
✨Building and repairing tissue and muscles
✨maintaining a healthy hormone levels
✨Hunger satiety ( A big one when dieting!)
Okay, so how do you get more in!
1️⃣Make protein the priority at every meal.
Add in an egg or chicken sausage to your breakfasts, drink a shake if you must, but DO NOT START YOUR DAY OFF WITHOUT PROTEIN.
2️⃣Every time you eat, aim for 25g of protein minimum.
This will ensure that you get enough in during the day, and you aren’t just going for the easy snack but a quality food source.
3️⃣Make sure you are getting Protein in Post-workout.
It doesn’t have to be a shake, but you should be consuming at least 25g of protein.
4️⃣Track your foods for a few days if you aren’t already.
Think you are getting enough in? Track your food to make sure! you won’t know unless you are sure!
5️⃣Prep your meat ahead of time.
I throw chicken into a crock pot every week for quick protein when I am too lazy/busy to make a whole meal. It takes almost zero effort, and its a quality source of protein as well!
