My little Aldi haul. 👌🏻🥚🥕🥒🥗 Cucumber, carrots, eggs, deli turkey, tomatoes, salsa, pinto & black beans, dried apricots, green peppers, spring mix, salmon, garlic powder, & chicken broth. Went on a 2nd trip to Marc’s to get the rest of my list. NOT pictured: wheat English muffins, low carb tortillas, coconut water, vinegar, creamer, avocados, hummus, Brussels sprouts, shredded cheddar, oranges, pears, plums, and apples. I also got two pints of Halo ice cream! I’ve never tried it so I had to get my husband and me our own pints. 😂🍨 Total spent: $53.23 It would have been $7 less without the ice cream, but it was on sale so I said fuck it. 🤣 I got everything for meals and snacks over the next 4 days and plan to do as much prep work as I can, after I do my yoga. 🌮 Turkey Stuff🌮 . . . This is the easiest recipe of all time and so delicious that most times I just eat it in a bowl. I cook the turkey with minced garlic, taco seasoning, then add cooked 90 second rice, black beans, and green chilies in. I love it when protein is delicious! . . . GUYS! I’m working on creating my own recipes using the knowledge I have of baking. It’s definitely not going 100% peachy hahaaaaa, but this recipe was almost perfect! It’s a raspberry/blueberry crisp with a date/oat/almond crisp topping free from gluten, dairy and refined sugar (to be clear, I don’t have any issues with any of those three things but it’s fun to experiment). I can’t wait to share it once it’s perfected. The flavor was outta dis world but texture needs some improvement. Soon enough. It’s a process. Binge Eating Disorder is no joke.. “more common than Anorexia and Bulimia combined, but not talked about as much.” Like, WUT. I wasn’t going to share this because of how guilty and embarrassed I am, but I was given this platform to share and shed light for those who are dealing with similar struggles. So bye, haters. — By now you can probably guess that I have binged and screwed up my “diet” again. It’s not an easy thing to deal with, especially when you’re also trying to manage depression. Some days are better than others.. and some days it feels like I’ve blacked out and ate the whole bakery. Talking about this makes me feel sick to my stomach, honestly. I can’t even pinpoint what caused it. It was compulsive, unplanned, and it seems like it was out of my control. — Now, some of you who don’t struggle with this will most likely think, “why didn’t you just stop” or “is it really that hard?” But it’s much more difficult than that. Like I said before, it feels like you black out. It literally feels like you have no control. Then all of a sudden (12 Oreos, a can of soup, and 2 tacos later) you come to and you feel this overwhelming amount of guilt + shame. It’s hard to explain exactly what goes on while bingeing, and I hope none of you ever go through it. — With that being said, here are some tips to stop bingeing forever. Eat S L O W. Enjoy your food. Honor your hunger + fullness. Avoid your triggers. Eat enough nutrient dense food. Get hella conscious with your nutrition. xx

How have I made being fit and healthy a sustainable lifestyle? 10 minute Peach Salsa 🍑🍅🌽 {Super fast + delicious on top of grilled chicken or fish! Just in time for the #Weekend } Ingredients: 2 ripe peaches, diced 2-3 medium Roma tomatoes, chopped 1 cup raw organic corn kernels, I used fresh local sweet corn, and chopped right off the cob (yes! corn can be eaten raw!) 1 small red onion, chopped a small bunch of fresh cilantro or parsley leaves, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced juice and zest of one fresh lime sea salt and pepper, to your taste Instructions: Gently combine all ingredients. People assume that when you go plant-based all you eat is salad. Yes, I eat salads, and I like salads...like the ones with loads of stuff in them. But it's definitely NOT all I eat. Sometimes I will eat salad every day...even twice a day and sometimes I won't eat salad for like a week. But right now, we are just starting that prime salad season. All the local veggies are just starting to pop up at farm stands and that's when salads REALLY get amazing! Juicy, flavorful , nutrient-packed, local fruits and veggies make all the difference. And I take full advantage of eating them when they are fresh and in season! So hit up those markets this weekend and enjoy the tastes of Summer! P.S. winter here sucks for salad...so I'm gonna enjoy the summer flavors every chance I get.
