We are volcanoes. When we women offer our experience as our truth, as human truth, all the maps change. There are new mountains. That's what I want - to hear you erupting." - Ursula K. Le Guin, 1986. __________________________________________________WE ARE VOLCANOES features embroidered vintage photographs of unknown women. Red, maroon and orange threads have been used to create invasive and explosive pools of volcanic matter. The works are inspired by Ursula K Le Guin's writings on how women's truths, rage and stories have been silenced and repressed throughout history.
