On Your First Day Of 7th Grade
It does sting a little bit that we don’t live near our family to snap those first day back to school photos, to see their faces as they get on the bus, and see the expression when they get back home from school. I get to hear it from a phone (fingers crossed) But there are things I do want them to know , even though we aren’t able to be with them physically. Our main goal is to teach our childern what love is, to enjoy our time together, and help them become unique individual that will make a change in our world.
Dear Madi & Gray, Today is the first day of 7th grade. We are wishing we could be apart of this milestone with you, we honestly can’t believe your already in 7th grade.
You’re growing up & each year you are going to learn , grow, experience all sorts of new things, and even put into new situations were decisions will need to be made. There are some things Dad and I want you to know. We hope you learn , feel, and take in the whole experience as you walk through the doors of 7th grade. We are walking right there with you, even though it is not physically.
When you walk through the doors today, your first mission is to find the new kid. Knowing they probably feel out of place, maybe sitting alone, or maybe even extremely nervous. Be there for them, you been the new kid before. First day of school can be scary for some because you don’t know what to expect from your teachers or the people in school. But you know when you take the pressure off of you and make it a time to serve your mission to find a kid who needs to see your big smiles. Lots of new friends , who are wishing to have you to be there with them on the first day of School.
Homework always gets a little bit harder when we move up in grade levels, the projects even seem to get harder. But you know what , YOU GOT THIS!!! It’s not always going to come easily or natural, because well at some point you have to learn things you don’t know already. This is a favor for yourself, don’t get frustrated , take a deep breath and look at the positive of learning that you love. You both are such great learners and talented in so many different areas of school.
