A Little Cold and Snow
What day is it?
What time is it?
Sunscreen or gloves?
All good questions, and coincidentally all questions I have asked myself in the last 3 weeks. This morning I woke to a tropical sunrise on my home beach. Just a few days ago I was in 19 degrees, bone chilling winds and snow.
This is a quick pic of me standing literally on the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. A storm was coming. I arrived just in time to capture the sunrise over the canyon to my left while simultaneously watching clouds form below me to the right. Within minutes the canyon was completely filled with a thick gray mass. And then the snow started. Just a flurry at first; The large flakes soon followed. Yes, this is once again why I invest in weather sealed camera equipment. Rather than running for cover, I was the lone person walking the edge, to see what I could see.
What will tomorrow bring? I do not know for certain, but isn’t that part of the fun? All I do know is I will strive to live it to the fullest and capture it to remember and share.
