In 2015 ontmoette ik deze vrouw in de regio Maquela do Zombo in Angola. Op een dag kwam zij langslopen met deze zak op haar hoofd en het viel mij op hoe fysiek sterk deze vrouw is. Door haar situatie en de manier van leven in Angola is de fysieke gesteldheid van deze vrouw waarschijnlijk vele malen beter dan een Nederlandse vrouw van dezelfde leeftijd. Ook de kinderen moeten al vanaf jongs af aan meehelpen om te voorzien in de basisbehoefte. Deze mensen denken hier niet over na en het is voor hen de normaalste zaak van de wereld. Het laat zien hoe uit het oog wij deze fundamentele zaken wij verloren. Het visualiseert voor mij dat mensen op fysiek gebied tot veel meer in staat zijn dan dat wij denken. Het demonstreert hoe in de loop van de tijd veel basisbehoeftes in de westerse wereld vervuld zijn en dat wij als bevolking hierdoor steeds minder bewegen. Hierdoor zijn we vergeten waartoe ons lichaam, in harmonie met goede mentale gezondheid, in staat is. Door basisbewegingen zoals kruipen, liggen, duwen, rollen, bukken, buigen, springen, trekken, lopen, rennen en tillen terug te brengen naar de mensen wil ik de balans terugbrengen. Dit is onze basismotoriek die in ons DNA huist maar veel mensen zijn vergeten of afgeleerd om dit goed te gebruiken. laila is a 58 year-old-woman mother of 3 girls and one man . laila complained from several issues in her body, cervical spondylosis(neck pain) always using the neck supporter for that, otheoarthiritis(specially in lower back and knees) never could reach the floor or move by herself because of that, also complained from arthiritis in both hands. i started with laila 7 months ago, she was 85 kilos back then. we followed a restricted diet and training system (first she trained 2 times a week for a month learning how to move in right way and use her muscles , then we started the functional training in crossfit) now she is 73 kilos, her issues started to be way less than before, her movement improved alot. we will continue what we do till she is perfectly healthy , i wanna say that am really proud of her amazing effort, and the results she reached .P.S: laila was a living example for what i want to teach people around, that training bu anyway must be part of our daily routine to stay healthy , it doesn't matter what age, weight,shape you are but it matters to start it's never too late. sports is a life style to be healthy and sain , it's a way to improve yourself and your manners , not a way for showing off or things like that #Crossfit #functionalfitness #funtionalmovement #functionaltraining #ageisjustanumber #crossfitcoach #crossfitwomen #healthylifestyle #healthcare CrossFit for every one #fitnessmotivation #fitnesstrainer

I challenged myself to complete 100 pull ups (strict pull ups) everyday for the month of November on top of my already programmed workouts. Adding a goal to your already busy schedule means you have to make more sacrifices to reach them. Waking up even earlier, coming in on your days off, coming in when you’re sick, hungover, on holidays, coming in for 2 a days, coming in when you’re sore... adding goals creates you to try to make excuses and justify not completing them; don’t give in!! Our pregnant mama @jessicaseaman12 (who happens to be 34 weeks pregnant and is still crushing workouts, modified for her of course) was experiencing some discomfort in the posterior elbow this morning. We did a light voodoo wrap to increase proprioception in the triceps and the discomfort decreased! I challenge you to think outside the box! Sometimes a little extra tactile sense is all you need to get something activated
