Iโ€™ve been having so much fun actually participating in classes again! After being on a strict barbell program for quite a few months, itโ€™s time to get that engine running again. Iโ€™d also like to suggest to the folks that feel like they might be in a rut when it comes to progression in strength and fitness that you think about participating in Coach @nathancharpentier and @powersofthesnow barbell technique class two days a week. When I finished the program that they had me on and I when back to doing CrossFit workouts, my performance showed massive improvements. Not only because I had gotten stronger but because my understanding of the movements was much more clear and my ability to execute the movements properly increased my work capacity. Correct and efficient movement = increased abilities, more strength, heightened awareness of your body, and lastly and not as important is better scores in workouts. Looking forward to opening up to a different pace and using what I have developed in myself in new ways. I just spent the last two weeks with the home team Genius of Flexibility crew in Santa Barbara doing sophisticated and intense training with Bob Cooley and the rest of the Elite trainers during level V workshops. Everyone went for it and really knew how to participate and go after changes, so good. Iโ€™m experiencing big shifts in learning and absorbing who people are. Historically, I would observe people in life and stay more introverted and analytical and not come back out with quite the right timing. Still keeping what I know the most and now also able to be with each individual and the world more inside and out at the same time. Iโ€™m working on prayer hands behind the back Pericardium resistance flexibility stretch. I still do not have enough external rotation and thoracic extension to get the full position. Soon I hope, but whenever is fine. This pose exposes one of the ways my rib cage comes off my torso. My hands in this position push right into the spine where it would have to be more flexible for the ribs to connect better.
