EXERCISE: seated cable front raises TARGET MUSCLE: Delts ________________________________ EXPLANATION: So who else has a hard time hitting that front delt? I've always had trouble doing any sort of front raise and never really felt it where I was supposed to. I think this new one is PERFECT and I finally got a front delt pump for the first time Haha. Sitting helps with isolation and stability so its ALL front delts and will be a blow to your ego when you have to go super light weight LOL. ________________________________ TIPS: 🍊leaning back allows for full range of motion. 🍊leaning back also forces you to engage your core! Which is crucial to all exercises. 🍊practice breathing. Find a rhythm. Breathing out on the front raise tends to allow for the most power. 🍊 tuck your chin slightly. 🍊 keep arms straight (never lock elbows though) and think about guiding the movement with your elbows. 🍊scrunch your face while breathing outward for maximum power and attractiveness. 🙈 🍊make sure you always let out the occasional weird noise to grab everyones attention and show off the small amount of weight your lifting.😎 PRO TIP: make sure you turn sound off the video if you video yourself and post it on Instagram so no one judges you. 🤣

Working yourself until you cant physically work anymore. Not a good approach but it seems to be the approach I take in life always lol. ESPECIALLY in exam time! Why? Probably because I feel like o never study "enough". Theres no ending until the exam is over, aka you cant "complete" and "submit" your studying, it's just ongoing and how ever much or little you can do. So what do I do? I often overstudy and literally am brain dead by the time I get to the exam. I feel guilty for every moment NOT spent studying and think "if I dont do well it's my own fault because I didnt use every moment of my time to study". This attitude can be carried over to a lot of things in life besides just studying. We can get consumed by work and just feel like it's never enough. Balance goes out the window as things other than work lead to guilt and therefore we dont do them. However, my goal this exam season was to schedule the studying, and make sure I schedule the balance. For me, still factoring some time to make a gym appearance was keeping the balance aspect alive. I could just study all day non stop, but having that mental break does wonders for your mental health, as well as improve your mental performance when you do get back to the work. Never feel guilty for taking time to do the things you love and remember that your best is always enough. Remind yourself that you are still human, and humans need breaks, self care, balance, and fun, so don't forget that going into this week! Work hard, play harder. Happy #motivationmonday peeps

Fun food-day menu from sunday! ~3150cal. ~415g carbs, 90g fats, and 170g protein. _________________________ MENU: 🥣Oatmeal with egg whites and grapefruit. _________________________ 🍌 Rice cakes with banana and cinnamon _________________________ 🍔 The dead ringer burger with sweet potato fries from @theworks _________________________ 🍳homemade hashbrowns with fried eggs and ketchup. Roasted carrots and bell peppers and sweet peas on the side _________________________ 🍓Greek yogurt with a pint of strawberries and a pint of blueberries _________________________ RECIPE FOR THE HOMEMADE HASHBROWNS & EGGS: 1- frozen French fries (of any kind, I used crinkle cut 😎) defrosted in microwave and cut up into pieces. 2- add onion powder, garlic powder, and a little chilli powder. 3- add an egg or egg whites 4- mash into patties and pan fry in extra virgin olive oil. 5- fried eggs and ketchup on top! (Make sure ketchup is warm too, makes a difference lol). _________________________ Portion in picture: 🍳210g French fries 🍳75g egg whites 🍳2 large eggs 🍳5g olive oil 🍳2 tbsp ketchup 55g carbs/23g fats/25g protein 527cal

Isnt that unhealthy? Well, it depends. _________________________ We live in a society that has grown to label food as either "healthy" or "unhealthy" based on ONLY looking at the nutritional value of the food, and NOT the person eating it. This causes anyone and everyone to suffer from guilt and stress when consuming these "labeled unhealthy foods", and it takes away the enjoyment of eating it. So unfortunate, because the true determinant of whether a food is unhealthy or healthy, is based on whether the person consuming it is healthy, both physically and mentally! _________________________ Do they consistently eat foods like this? For some people, eating the donut is healthy- perhaps they have a high metabolism and need the calories to maintain a healthy weight. Perhaps society has caused them to build an unhealthy relationship with food and they restrict themselves. Maybe someone has been undernourished and needs to gain back some healthy weight so calorie dense foods are healthy. And for others with weight loss goals who find they are overcomsuming high caloric foods, and for those with specific nutritional allergies or intolerances, a donut might not be considered the best choice based on the circumstances. _________________________ THE OVERALL GOAL IS BALANCE! food cannot be classified as healthy or unhealthy by simply looking at the food alone. The person eating it, their goals their lifestyle, their current health, physical activity levels, mental health, etc ALL NEED TO BE FACTORED IN WHEN DETERMINING THE HEALTH STATUS OF A FOOD. So next time you think "that's unhealthy I cant eat that", ask yourself, is that because society says it is? Or because you have thought about your own physical and mental health and are deciding what's best for you?

Happy Sunday party people! I hope you all had an amazing weekend and are recharged and refreshed to get back at it tomorrow morning! I had an amazing lunch today catching up with my girl @traceyshillum who I havent seen in foreverrrrr! like a whole month lol and spent the rest of the day meal prepping and getting my life organized before this crazy week ahead unorganized it again lol ______________________________ Just a reminder this Sunday night that, Your allowed to go wherever life takes you. To break from routine to form new. To break from habits to form new. To break from lifestyles to form new. Life is full of phases and new chapters. Dont be afraid to turn the page, start a new chapter, or even start a new damn book if thats where life is taking you. Sometimes when you've done something for so long or lived a certain way for so long it can feel like you are going against who you are when you completely break from living one way to a new way. Let me tell you, there is NOTHING wrong with accepting this new journey and deciding to live life differently. Infact, its healthy. It's what will get you to a place you never knew you could be, and a place you never knew you wanted to be. It will bring you that much closer to the ultimate goal of life, happiness.

Sometimes you just gotta throw all the negativity and self doubt out the window and throw yourself into situations free of all Fs.... including failure lol. Life happens fast, but self doubt creeps in faster. Sometimes you just need to NOT think and just GO GO GO. Dont give yourself an opportunity to question yourself, dont waste time looking to those around you for validation or encouragement, Just do it. Plot out your plan of attack, Block the world out around you, stay focused on the goal, and go get it. __________________________ Could you tell this was my mindset this week by my lack of posting? Lol I keep saying "I'm back" yet life just keeps throwing me all these curve balls and opportunities that are feeding my focus. It's nice to just "do you" every now and then and not even get a chance to think about social media, let alone be on it. This will be me until like, December 10th, when I can finally breath! Projects, presentations, assignments, exams, guinea pigs, preparing for Christmas markets, selling all day at Christmas markets, meal prep, training, actually attending lectures still lol, internship and masters applications and applying, kinda a social life, sleeping occasionally Lol its a lot, but like I said, the second you let self doubt creep in and waste time thinking about whether or not you can do it, you are already putting yourself at a time disadvantage. Dont think, just plan. Dont hesitate, and just do. Dont forget that Your a badass superhero, SO START FREAKING ACTING LIKE ONE LOL XO

Olaaaaaaa Long time so see (or post. however you want to look at it lol). So today was my first day back training after a 4 day rest period that I do between training programs for rest and recovery. I feel like it resets the body and prepares it for a whole new kinda hell imma bout to inflict Haha. And kind of "re-sparks" the system. I went a little MIA (but when am I not let's be honest lol) but I think I'm back Haha. And with that being said, the reason I go MIA answers a question I get a lot when I do these rest periods which is, "how can you not train weights for 4 days?! I can barely do one!". Now everyone has different problems, some people have trouble actually training weights for 4 days in a row and some people have trouble taking a 4 day break, so just a reminder that EVERYONE STRUGGLES DIFFERENTLY AND THIS CAPTION DOESNT APPLY TO ALL (same to keep in mind for all other captions you read on social media). I would start off by saying I still go to the gym becuase its built in my routine and feels good in the morning, however light cardio is all I do while catching up on things on my phone. I make a new program in that time and plan schedules, etc. But the key to this 4 day rest is PACKING YOUR SCHEDULE SO FULL THAT YOU HAVE NO TIME TO THINK ABOUT THE GYM AND CAN'T FIT IT IN YOUR SCHEDULE! This week was chaotic for me, school presentations and assignments, guinea adoptions, jewelry/candle sales at Christmas markets, meal prep, chores, some sleep, I could go on and on lol just lots to do! Time felt never ending to be honest I got so much done in those 4 days its felt like 2 weeks off weights! But at the same time it flew by because I didnt stop moving! And here I am, starting another program, crushed workout 1, and crushed a day of good food with good company! Starting this week off with a flex and a smile, ready for more craziness to destroy! This tiny human of a baby girl who now is walking already so good makes me such a proud auntie Coco Bear and a proud uncle Boo Bear too!!!!! She’s just precious in every way. Her beautiful bright eyes with those lashes twinkling as she bats them not even knowing how beautiful she is. Her smile lights up my spirit. Her hugs and her little hands that will grab at your face or your ears feels like a little angel came to play. Her laughter makes u laugh even more. Vada, is one of a kind. When the winter layers cant hide the gains lol Today was day 1 of my "rest period" that I always do between programs. Every 4-5 weeks I take a 4 day to 1 week break from training to allow my body to rest, recover, relax, and reset before jumping into a new training program! No pre workout, no weights, just light intensity cardio and all the food lol. I actually use the time doing cardio to create a new program, and with a new program on the horizon, that means new goals! __________________________ Goals include: 🍗gains continuing both through increasing macros weekly as well as including a lot of a low rep + high weight exercises. 🍗operation build a booty still in full effect and operation quadzilla continues with 2 leg days, heavy lifts, as well as dropset exercises for definition. 🍗operation WINGS in full effect. Really going to focus on hitting them lats to gain some width in my back. 🍗 lastly hitting biceps, triceps, and shoulders from all angles with new exercises to hit every fiber of my arms so I'm unable to to carry things but they got shape 😂😈 __________________________ Cant wait to tackle these goals, but first, let me take a selfie, second, let me rest and prepare, and last, I should probably actually make the program lol __________________________ Happy #workoutwednesday Anyone else got some new goals????

Happy #throwbackthursday to an Amazing night full of so many laughs, memories, and special gals. I was scrolling through my phone and came across this particular photo, a moment I didnt think was caught on camera. They say to "make a wish", and someone usually shouts this at you right before you blow them out so you make an quick impulse wish or just go blank and pretend to make one before blowing them out. But not me.... lol oh no I took a damn moment. I literally stopped, composed myself, took about 30seconds to make a wish, and then blew them out lol @leahkearneyy "well that was like a damn prayer" lol I took my sweet time because not only did I make a wish, but made a promise to myself that I would make sure it comes true. The only difference between a wish and a goal, is a plan. We make goals and then implement actions to achieve them. We make wishes and then hope they will just happen. Simply relying on hope wont make your wishes come true, for some it might, it's called luck, but for most people wishes will just be another thing they hoped for but never happened. So am I saying wishing for things is bad? NOT ONE BIT. What I am saying, is to not just wish for it, but wish for it and make it freaking happen. Promise yourself that you will do what it takes you make YOUR OWN wish come true, and dont just rely on hope to follow through. Because hope relies on luck, but you rely on hard work, motivation, passion, and commitment. That my friend, is what makes wishes comes true.... YOU. Make a wish, blow out the candles, and make it come true. Xo
