My next review is the collaborative mixtape form Young Thug & Future, Super Slimey, released on October 20th, 2017. Both Thug and Future have had great careers, and have built extremely loyal fan bases and platforms that continue to like them no matter what. On this one, their combination really is good. There is a ton of replay value on this one, including songs like 200 and Three. They even thrive in solo tracks, namely Killed Before for Thugger and 4 Da Gang For Future. The energy and flow switches were the most noticeable parts, and really showed their great chemistry together. The production was absolutely fantastic, being handled by many different producers, with Southside and Fuse having the most credits with three each. TM88, Mike Will, London on da Track, Wheezy & DY are others that were credited on there. Overall, this was a great collaborative project that demonstrated the two Atlanta artist’s chemistry. While there were misses, they weren’t as abundant as I had thought they would be.
Best songs- Patek Water, Three & 200.
Worst Songs- Real Love, Mink Flow & Group Home
Rating- I definitely enjoyed this more than I believed I would. Everything about it was good, and even though I wouldn’t say it was the best from either of them, it still was a helpful addition to their discographies. Ima give this a 7.1/10. Next is the final review, Future’s newest album The WIZRD. Till then, I’m out.
