My first try at a Pegu Club! What an interesting drink! Created by the Pegu Social Club in what was Rangoon, Burma in the 1920’s, this is a super refreshing Gin drink that tastes super crisp and light. I really liked it! It almost tasted a bit like a really flavoured water, as weird as that sounds! I can’t really explain it, but I liked it! My top advice I can give is not to shake it too much, minimal dilution is key I think! Recipe below. Cheers! .
3/4oz Curaçao (I used Cointreau)
3/4oz Lime Juice
1 dash Angostura Bitters
1 dash Orange Bitters
Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice. Shake, and strain into a Coupe, or Rocks glass with a Big Ice Cube. Garnish with a Lime Zest.
