Getting focused / staying focused during my workouts is something I had a lot of issues with when I first started. Don’t get me wrong, I still have my off days where I get distracted every other set, but for the most part I have been able to lift and just lift during my allotted time at the gym 🙌🏻
My first tip to doing this is reminding yourself why you are at the gym when you first walk in, what is your goal? My second tip would be making a music playlist that will hype you up the whole time! I love listening to music while I workout and I always add new songs to my playlist every week to keep things exciting💁🏼♀️ Lastly, put your phone on do not disturb! I always get distracted by messages, social media, emails, etc.! So I do my best to minimize screen time for at least the hour I’m at the gym.
My gym time is my time! It is the one time of the day I have to “myself”. I don’t have to worry about work, school, or personal life, I just get to do me 👏🏻🙌🏻 The gym is my stress relief and I can truly say it is my favorite part of my day (besides eating ...) 🤷🏼♀️
