I went for a PR on hip thrusts Friday at 315lbs. (first video) I wasn’t quite able to make the full extension but got sooo close! You can be sure I’ll get it in a couple weeks though! After that, I completed 3 sets of 6 at 225lbs. My booty is [still] beyond sore from this workout!! 🙌 . If you currently squat or deadlift, you should be doing hip thrusts. (Men, that means you too! No shame here!) Hip thrusts greatly improve these movements and the weight you’re able to move. I highly recommend following @bretcontreras1. He is the “glute guy” but he is also an expert in all things weightlifting! . 500 Rep Workout! Monday already?! Don’t skip your Monday workout! Set yourself up for the week - even if it’s just a quick home workout 🏋️‍♀️ get it in 👌 This can be done at home or at the gym all ya need is a mat and a kettlebell (and you can do bodyweight if ya don’t have one!) 5 exercises 100 reps each 1. DL/squat under and thrust (jump squats if you don’t have weight) 2. KB swing (I did 50 singles each arm bc my weight is too light for two hands) 3. Bridge (kb on hips optional) 4. Pushups (drop to knees or elevated if you need it) 5. Weighted situps (do without weight or just crunches for modification) I like 500 rep workouts bc you can do them however you want! Do all 100 then move to the next, 5 sets of 20, 10 sets of 10, whatever is most comfortable! This took me 23 minutes (including messing around with my camera to film) and my apple watch says I burned 160 calories (for what it’s worth..) ✴️ FULL BODY WORKOUT ✴️ • For the days you can't decide what to train 😂😂 1. Plate loaded lat pulldowns - focus on stretching and engaging lats at the top of the movement then really pull down with them! 2. Seated cable rows - concentrate on tucking elbows in and not 'rocking' back and forward so much 🚣🏼‍♀️ 3a. Dumbbell lateral raises SUPERSET with 3b. Barbell upright rows 🔥 - in my opinion accessory shoulder exercises are best as supersets to really burnout. 4a. Cable face pulls SUPERSET with 4b. Tricep pushdowns - really focus on the SQUEEZE at the concentric part of each movement (mind muscle connection honestly makes the world of difference) 👏🏼 5. Reverse dumbbell lunges - keep all weight and tension on each individual leg.... Try not to put foot down at the top! Keep TIME UNDER TENSION 😘 6. Romanian deadlifts - back straight, hinge hips, knees slightly bent. It was beautifully sunny but cold as we mosied around the park. Central Park is a peaceful sanctuary from the concrete jungle. There is something almost magical in the air as the temperature drops, fallen leaves are mowed to mulch and as the beautifully bare trees adorn the walkways. Central Park's 843 acres of meandering paths and scenic trails leading to idyllic ponds is a must see even in winter. Did you know there are:- • 20 playgrounds • 36 bridges • 48 fountains, monuments/sculptures and • 1 zoo open 365 days a year ?
