✨ Getting my sweat on while on vacation ✨ . . . Yesterday was upper-body day at the condo’s gym and rode a @limebike for an hour around #KeyBiscayne (swipe 🔙 to see exercises)... Today, I woke up early (who am I?) and did a 6:45am #strengthworkout @orangetheorycoralgables 💪🏼🔥 I haven’t had pod issues in a while but of course it happened today 🤷🏼‍♀️ Power walked those high inclines and worked those arms on the floor... class ended with partnerA 30 sec all out row while partnerB did 10 push-ups and held a plank during the remainder of the row (then switched back and forth for 5 mins)! Day 1 | 31 of Self Love: What is your biggest struggle with loving yourself !?!? (Besides having to iron my shirt obviously 🤦🏻‍♀️) . Where does one begin!?? . My biggest issue is coming off as a B*TCH! Lord knows I can be one...but I know my first impression by looks is that look like a real big one. . I tell myself daily that it’s a great quality/feature to have because most people will not mess with you or take advantage of you! . However, I am far from as stuck up as I may look to some. Life update➡️Started my new job today🤟🏼 I had the interview yesterday, got the call an hour later that I got the job, and I started today🤗So extremely grateful and blessed to be working with kids again and making a true impact on their lives🙌🏼 Prep update➡️Weight is going down, energy still low, but grinding is going up. Snatch balances, buttery up to 60 kg, 63 kg was ok ish, then I landed on my butt at 65 kg 😂😂😂 Where you at snatch balance fairy? 🧚🧚🧚 Also BTN push press are eating my lunch but coach @manzanaresosman was completely thrilled that I added one kilo to my last working sets (57kg). Let me tell you how super fun it is to creep up in weight on an exercise one kilo each week. Those closest to me know I've always struggled with anxiety and feelings of low self esteem. Getting back into the gym on a consistent basis has tremendously helped calm my anxiety and give me a little confidence boost when I need it most. 💜 It's not about the physical changes (although they help)- it's about mental and emotional strength, happiness, and most importantly self love ❤️ I'm not afraid to be vulnerable because it's a necessary step in the growth process. Regardless of how things appear on social media, we all have insecurities, fears, and internal struggles that we think no one would understand or has experienced. We've all been there (self included). Happy 🍑 day!!!! I had a GREAT first day back in the gym after vacation, and I know this workout was fueled by some deep dish Chicago pizza 🍕🍕 here’s the exercises I did today ⤵️ 🔘squat 🔘walking lunges 🔘superset: calf raises & RDL’s 🔘leg extensions 🔘leg curls 🔘inner thigh machine Something I’m curious about is glute/muscle activation. I did some glute kickbacks & fire hydrants (idk real name) and bosu ball glute bridges unweighted before I started. But im curious the benefits or if glute activation is a real thing. I will do my own research... but let me know your thoughts!! 🧐
