I am very proud to see @artee1manpartee picking up these weights very easily. His program changed a few times thru our sessions do to 1. He had some minor fixes he needed to work on like strengthen his back and ankles 2. He was on a partner workout so the workout was Tailored to both in these programs but they kicked ass together and killed these programs! 405lbs going up smooth. 3 REASONS TO ARCH YOUR BACK⠀ ⠀ If you’ve been watching my powerlifting videos, you’ve probably noticed that I arch my back as I bench press. Here are 3 reasons why. ⠀ ⠀ #1. It helps you bench more: As a powerlifter, I’m training to bench press as much weight as possible without compromising form. By creating an arch, I decrease the range of motion that the bar has to travel, allowing me to push more weight. 👌🏼⠀ ⠀ #2. It’s a safe position for your shoulders: The shoulder is the most mobile joint in the body, meaning it’s also the least stable and at greater risk for injury. Arching your back gives your upper back a solid base on the bench, reducing excessive shoulder rotation and increasing shoulder stability. ⚠⠀ ⠀ #3. 3 ways to have strong will power while loosing weight or getting lean 🧠: . 1. When you’re faced with a challenge that will make you want to give in, you must think of your long term goal. For example, get fit, stay lean, lose weight. Those are the reasons you wouldn’t want to do that. 2. Meditate, take deep breathes, and step away from the temptation in front of you. Stop to meditate, breathe, maybe take a short walk. This takes you out of the state of wanting. Right (Literally). You usually get in a state of anxiety and stress and usually want to make a decision, “should I eat this or should I not.” No, take a deep breathe (Do it now). Like so and decide what is more important. Your long term goal or this instant gratification that will harm your progress. 3. See anything that will stop you from reaching your goal as a threat. Okay. See it as a threat. This way you obviously take the other direction, the other choice. Everything is a step so if something stops you from the next step it is a threat to your goal. That will help you make the correct decision. . Bonus tip: hang around people with the same goals as you. They’ll be supportive. . I hope this helps. I hope you can implement that in your journey to lose weight or get lean. It’s helped me. I usually like to stay tunnel vision too. I don’t like to talk to anyone about a goal. Then with the weighted glute bridges, I don’t stop at the bottom. Instead I pause at the top and only lightly touch the mat with my butt at the bottom. It helps keep the stress on my glutes. 3. I do a three step lunge for my glutes. So I start at the top and then step back, down once, down again, & back to the top. 4. Lastly, I perform the weighted glute bridges and 3 step lunge as a superset. Choosing to be a Victor is not about brushing past your feelings. It’s about processing them and not parking there. . . But you’ve got to take care of it and move forward. Don’t let it keep stealing your life from you. You deserve to be free and happy and whole. Whoever did that to you did so out of brokenness. Hurting people hurt people. But on the flip side of that healed people heal people. . Life is about struggles as much as it is about the triumphs. It’s all in how you see it. Choose to see it as an opportunity - to learn, grow, adapt, get creative. Watch what happens. . . Forgiveness is for you and your process. You can have empathy or pity for a broken person that hurt you. It doesn’t mean you have to keep letting them hurt you or allow them to do life with you. It does that the sting out when you can understand the why. . Choose to be the victor and you’ll come out on top. People who choose to damage people live in a world of hurt and torment.
