* Personal Branding Tips *
This is from one of my favourite personal branding sessions for a web & logo designer.
By preparing in advance, we could ensure she got exactly the style of photos she was after for her vibrant, fun, creative business. Here are three tips on how to prepare for your personal branding photo session:
1. Know what your brand or personality is meant to convey. What feelings, moods, style? This helps the photographer choose their lighting, location and advise you on styling.
2. Consider props and other personal, relatable items that you could bring or accessorise with, to make the photos personal to you.
3. Think about where you'll be using the photos - will you need portrait, landscape or both? Will they have text over them anywhere?
By preparing your thoughts about these in advance of your consultation with a photographer, you'll be able to tell them what you need and check they can provide you with that. A good photographer will care about your needs and probably ask you a few more questions, but they will also tell you if their style is not a match for what you need, and maybe even recommend someone else whose is. It's important not to just book the first person you speak to if you're not sure they can match your vision and style!
I'm available for portrait, lifestyle and personal branding photography work on limited dates for 2018, and now booking into 2019. Visit my website (link in my bio) or drop me an email at email@example.com to chat about your project! :)
