Thinking positive is key to a healthy, happy and positive life! But how do we think positive in such a negative world? Practice, practice and practice! Becoming positive is a long term commitment that doesn’t happen overnight!
Negative thoughts are bad for both you including your mind, behaviors, physically, and your perception. It is okay to stray the path, but the sooner you get back on the positive path the better off you are! Stay focused on the positive, rather that the negative if you want to love, enjoy , and have a somewhat healthy life. Here are the points on thinking positive:
1) Do not let negative thoughts control you. Let go of them as soon as possible. When they popup, acknowledge them then find a counter thought. Question the negative thought, for example;” Am I truly having a bad day?” let it go!
2) Do not focus on the past, it can be haunting and dragging you backwards. Obsessing over things that have gone wrong will not change the facts. This only drags you down. Worry about your future will have the same effect. Set your goals about the future and concentrate in the here and now. Otherwise you will be focused the future that you miss the simple everyday things that are just as important. Don’t let your mind wonder from these two, they are distractions that keep you off tract. If you find yourself in this position fond something new to focus on, i.e. the beautiful autumn colors.
3) If you are facing obstacles, you will get around them. Remember you are not always going to stuck at one obstacle, you will face many. And you will not always be living in the dream. The situations you are in are only temporary, remember life constantly changes.
4) Use the past and the future to guide and learn from but do not let them control you! “A positive day starts with a Smile; a negative day can be turned around with a smile! Put that SMILE on –do not let negativity take your JOY”! – Be positive!
