Snip and Save
My mother regularly has the same conversation with me about herbs:
‘be careful with Rosemary and Mint, they grow like anything, before you know if your whole garden will be taken over’ .... likely story. ⠀⠀
I managed to keep a mint going over the summer once but even that met its match when faced with the hot summer and it’s part-time watering owner. ⠀⠀
So I might not be blessed with the greenest of fingers, but instead I know just where to go when I need a sprig or two. Today I took my scissors out with me and borrowed just what I needed from the great outdoors. ⠀⠀
I find some herbs freeze better than others, but Rosemary is a safe bet. I’m salivating at the thought of Rosemary salted rosties just writing this. ⠀⠀
So if you don’t have the means or inclination to grow your own, then ask neighbours, colleagues or local friends or scout around and see what you can find in local parks. Plastic free and zero waste.
