Big day for me, I have lifted the heaviest weight 120lbs in Golds Gym Bhopal for first time. When I was new at the gym, I use to think these heavy weights could only be lifted by professionals bodybuilders & ripped dudes, which I can't ever lift. Even rolling them on the floor was big thing for me lol, with time, constant training, determination, diet & discipline changed this scenario. Now I own insane strength to lift 120 lbs / 54.4kg with one hand & do 220 lbs bench press. Voor #spierherstel nog #eiwitten nodig, dus nam ik nog een bakje #kwark (250 gram). Ik had vandaag nog genoeg #kcal over, dus ik besloot, naast 2 gram kokos flakes, nog wat #purechocolade toe te voegen ( #Lindt pure chocolade met 85% cacao). Ik heb een blok van 22 gram in stukjes toegevoegd (let oo, 22 gram is al 125 kcal!). Ik eet eigenlijk bijna nooit meer chocolade, sinds ik weet hoe calorierijk het is, maar héél af en toe “mag” het een keertje. Pure chocolade (toch wel vanaf 70% cacao) heeft enkele voordelen t.a.v. je gezondheid. Het bevat onder andere antioxidanten, het is een goed middel tegen hart- en vaatziekten, zorgt voor betere doorbloeding naar de hersenen, etc. Echter bevat het ook veel verzadigd vet, dus daarom alleen al toch maar niet te vaak en teveel eten! In deze 22 gram chocolade zit 2,9 gram suiker. Ik zit daarmee nu precies aan mijn lichamelijke suikerbehoefte (afhankelijk van dagelijkse beweging, vandaag hard getraind). Veel mensen vermijden zoveel mogelijk suikers. Dat is natuurlijk goed, want dat doe ik ook. Echter....zowel je spieren als je hersenen hebben suiker nodig om te functioneren. Daarom nooit helemaal je suikers skippen! Je hebt wel eens als je bijna aan het einde van een zware krachttraining bent en je ineens een beetje “dizzy” of “naar” voelt. Eet een banaantje (suikers), dat doet wonderen! Als ik ff geen bananen heb, soms werkt zo’n noten/granen reep ook (wel de gezonde varianten!), maar....wat voor mij persoonlijk ook werkt is soms ff een beker water met een beetje Roosvicee. Bij mij helpt het vaak wel. Dus in die zin heeft je lichaam soms ècht wel suikers nodig. Maar idd niet overdrijven. (Let op...voor wat betreft chocolade....melkchocolafe enzovoort zijn natuurlijk NOOIT gezond!! Dus altijd puur kiezen vanaf 70% cacao) Voor de rest dus ook letten op je eiwitten. Oh ja, ik heb vandaag nog steeds kcal over, maar die eet ik niet meer. At my job a girl was talking about how she gained weight. She said that she gained 5 or so pounds. I told her that weight didn’t matter she said yeah well that’s what everyone says and I tried to convince her. So I asked her how much she thought I weighed. She replied 130lbs. I said nope 150. She said there was no way and that it wasn’t possible.. ⬇️ My point is that weight is just a number. Don’t focus on the scale because you won’t see much progress there. Focus on how your body is changing and on how you are getting stronger. That is what true progress is measured by. The scale isn’t telling you how much you can lift, it isn’t telling you how good you feel, etc. so why are you allowing it to control how you feel and determine how much progress you have made. I cannot stress this enough. Look at how much my body has changed and fluctuated in weight. I can step on the scale one day and it’s day 153 and ten another and it says 148.
