NEW CHEST PRESS PB‼️ Last week, I hit a new PB on Dumbbell bench press - 3 sets of 8 reps with 40kg dumbbells. My previous PB was 3 sets of 6 on 40kg and that was a couple of months ago. This was my last set and as you can see I managed to grind it out even though I nearly lost it on the 5th rep 😅 - I don’t go in the gym every day wanting to hit a new PB - that’s not realistic. Something like this is a good example of what a natural lifter can achieve with a good diet and structured training. Don’t be disheartened if you’re not hitting PB’s all the time. Leg day, everyones favourite. This was a little workout recommended to me. 200 lunges with 2min break then a further 100, all with feet raised then onto 6 x 50 hindu squats with 1 min break also with feet raised. Its been a long time so perhaps ive been slacking but its good to feel the disco legs again. No doubt i'll be crawling up the stairs tomorrow! Week 2 Day 2 (12/11/18) Finals prep: Getting Bodied. Cardio capacity: Crazy. Squats: LOVE. Tonight’s workout was arms, I decided I would join my partner at the gym him and his trainer normally go to as my programme is more interchangeable now. I walked in was all confident, then it started getting to the end of my warm up and realised I was in a gym where I wasn’t used to going, with a new programme and it was just me. The only thing you hear is your heartbeat. You feel scared but aren't defeated. You want it to stop, but you kind of want to see it through. You don't always trust yourself to get through it, but you try anyway. That is pretty much the gym and anxiety summed into one. Everytime I go into the gym, all I hear is my heart rate. I'm scared of the looks, of how people will see me but I don't let it stop me. Sometimes I just want to give it up and go home, I'm tired and anxious and it's just not the day, but I stay. And I may get one too many panic attacks because of that, where I feel so dizzy I feel like I might fall, but I have never actually fallen. So what was stopping me? It definitely wasn't my ability. Now I hear my heart race and I get filled with life. Basically if we’d draw a straight line from the bar, on the way down, it should cut the femur perpendicularly in half. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This means that if we were tied from the hips and knees like in the drawing, with ropes, both the “pullers” should pull at an even 50-50 to maintain the weight evenly distributed. You should basically “pull the opposite ropes at the same time”. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Feeling the weight on your back too much?
