This Norton Commando custom was cost-effectively built by Dean and Don to invoke the feel of a light and sprightly street tracker, and provide an improved, reliable ride.
The engine and gearbox were completely rebuilt to stock specs, using genuine Norton parts whenever possible.
The chassis consists of a stock Commando frame, swingarm, forks, and wheels. New shocks, reworked forks, along with new bearings, bushings and isolastics make sure this Commando rides tight and predictable.
Street trackers are stripped down, sleek and nimble machines. They look light and fast even when parked. We wanted to achieve a street tracker feel but retain classic Norton looks. We did this by use of a stock Norton Hi-rider tank, Fastback rear fender and a custom front fender. Add some wide flat tracker bars, gunfighter seat, a flat black 2 into 1 Bub style exhaust, and a simple black paint job and you get a Commando that’s a bit lighter, sleeker, and stands out from a stock Commando but is still unmistakable Norton.
