“To be successful, the first thing to do is to fall in love with your work.” Sister Mary Lauretta 🐔❤️
One of the main questions we received during our little Stories Q+A was, “how did you get started farming?” and I was having a hard time figuring that out because I still feel like we are just there... at the start. I’m only on my second growing season, I truly know just enough and have so little experience, yet I still love sharing what I do know and learn daily. It’s work that consistently keeps me on my toes, drains me by the end of the day, yet gives me something to look forward to the next morning. We’re eight months in on this land, and I don’t have any desire to give up! I’ve fallen in love. I can’t let go of this farm ever!
How did we get started? It took a lot of evolution of our business, but it started with a desire to be closer to our food. Where did it come from? Who grew it? Can I just grow it? How hard would that be? Now we want to share that good food with others! I think most first generation farms start that way ❤️ #UATRchickens
