We live in a culture filled with unbridled competition and dazzyling images, where winning, having some image of success, and being the “right one” are large pursuits. Add a little Intrepid Botanicals tincture to your favorite fall beverage! Here is one of our favorite #recipes for a delicious apple cider done in the #slowcooker - 1 gallon of fresh unfiltered apple cider - 1 medium orange (cut into slices) - 1 piece of fresh ginger (approx. 1.5 inches in size) - 5 cinnamon sticks - 1 tablespoon of whole cloves - 5 star of anise pods Let this simmer on LOW for approximately 4 hours covered. Once ready to serve, feel free to add up to one dropper full (approx. 19mg) of #cinnamon tincture. Some folks also like to throw in a little dark rum, bourbon or brandy. Let simmer additional 10 minutes and ENJOY! *Remember to keep it in the fridge and consume within 3 days!

I’m full swing now into my #last90day challenge (check out @succeedinginheels or over @msrachelhollis to see what I’m talking about 😊) and over the weekend my neck started to play up. It was so bad that on Friday I couldn’t move it without feeling dizzy, have you experienced that before? . So since my physio is of town (how dare she have a vacation 😂) I booked in to have a cupping session. . Have you tried cupping? It’s looks worse than it is, promise. . It definitely helped along with rubbing in my @doterra deep blue oil with some fractionated coconut oil constantly over the last few days I can move it again 🙌. It’s an amazing combination of Wintergreen, Camphor, Peppermint, Ylang Ylang, Helichrysum, Blue Tansy, Blue Chamomile, and Osmanthus work together to soothe and cool. . How about the timings???? We’ll all i feel is it depends on the schedule you have set for yourself.. I am complete night owl.. working out with restless body is about torcher to ownself. And due to my working hours the best time suits me is afternoon. And it did help me to pull the extra fats. 2 years back when i was postgraduate student i use to workout in evening still i did loose weight and before that when i was in 12 th grade i use to workout in morning still i did pull out. I'm not perfect, I'm only human just like you.👽 I like cupcakes and sugar and watching Netflix just as much as you do. But I'm aware of what serves me and what doesn't... My birthday has always been really important and special to me because I get to be with loved ones, I get to eat yummy food and sweet treats, but not gonna lie it kinda threw me off for a few days here.🎈 I was doing really well with my meal planning for 3 weeks. I was seeing results feeling good mentally and physically! And then today it occurred to me while I was eating chicken strips and potato wedges from the deli "I have gotten off track" lol I never realized HOW MUCH my nutrition plan actually was helping me. Last night I was so hungry from not eating all day I ended up caving in and getting a medium fry with extra sweet sour sauce from McDonald's on my way home. 🍟 Telling you, HUMAN. Not perfect. Sometimes we forget how certain things affect us... Something as prevalent and vital as food! But it's true! We are what we eat because when we don't eat nutritious food that fuel our bodies, or if we don't eat enough, if we have too much caffeine, or if we have too much food in general it makes us feel like shit 💩 there's no way to sugarcoat it... If you eat junk food, you're going to feel like junk. Yes, this picture is really cute with the sprinkles and a candle, and yes, this banana split cupcake was fucking bomb 🔥🤤 BUT I'm really grateful that my sugar intake is to a minimum nowadays! I feel so much better and have more clarity without it! I know what it's like to be addicted to sugar and not know how to break that habit... I've been there and I still go through it some days. But it's a hell of a lot easier having a plan and a little bit of guidance ✨ reach out if you need that in your life!! [FOOD GUILT] Ever feel guilty over what you ate on the weekend? # Well, I’m going to break down my weekend in food for you nutritionist-style, and I’m not leaving anything out. Ready? # 🍴What I ate this weekend (Friday - Sunday): a brownie, one homemade chocolate granola bar, 1/2 a scone with jam, some dark chocolate chips, a handful of popcorn, 2 giant salads, eggs, tons of veggies in other various forms (roasted, raw, sautéed), a couple apples, a banana, bunless homemade burger, chicken, hummus, lentils. # 🤓What I liked about it: That it wasn’t perfect. That I felt satisfied after every meal. That I enjoyed meals and snacks with loved ones and made it very social. That I walked a LOT this weekend and fit in a couple great workouts. # 🤷🏽‍♀️What I didn’t like about it: Not enough sleep or H20 💦 and went a really long time between meals a couple times, which had me hankering for a snack more than usual (for example: started eating popcorn while making a meal, which is not typical). I had a little more “treat” foods than I usually would, and for me that’s also definitely related to not drinking enough water or getting enough sleep. # 💃🏽My feelings about how I ate this weekend overall? Fairly neutral, to be honest. A few years ago I would have been starting the week sweating off entire food groups, trying to pack my schedule with extra workouts to “burn off” the treats, and beating myself up for my self-perceived failure for eating a few treats. Now, I enjoy what I eat, monitor the signs my body is sending me and check in with how I’m feeling, and adjust accordingly. # Here’s a secret: when you stress about food and how you’re eating constantly, feeling guilty AF over a couple treats and punishing myself emotionally only to make myself miserable....you’re probably going to end up stress eating all of the things you are trying to avoid and more. # Instead? Get clinical. Take the anxiety out of it. Focus on the big rocks like getting adequate sleep, water, protein, veggies and movement. Keep moving forward. Have FUN.
