Summer body update: crushed velvet edition. ๐Ÿ”ฅ I told yโ€™all to stay posted on my @skinnymintcom gummy update, and here it is! Let's talk about a different kind of health today... Skin health! ๐Ÿ™‡๐Ÿผโ€โ™€๏ธ This stuff makes the best face mask you will ever try - bentonite clay!! It's electrical components change upon contact with fluid (the clay takes on a negative charge) which gives it the ability to absorb toxins and impurities. โœจ The most common applications of this clay are for skin problems/speed healing, but it can also be ingested for digestive problems and providing dietary minerals! For the face mask: mix equal parts clay powder and water (or even apple cider vinegar ๐Ÿ˜„). Apply, let dry, and rinse off. Repeat as often as you'd like! Happy Friday! ๐ŸŽ‰ I'm going to make up for missing last week with this delicious VEGAN FRENCH TOAST. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป It literally tastes the exact same as the non-vegan version, but is much healthier for you! Want the recipe?? ๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘‰๐Ÿป Combine: 1 cup nondairy milk, 2 tablespoons of flour, 1 tablespoon of sugar, 1 tablespoon nutritional yeast (@bragglivefoods, available at Kroger), and 1 teaspoon cinnamon. Mix well! It has a base of white rice and kidney beans, and it's topped with a handmade honey mustard/ginger/liquid aminos sauce (AMAZING!!! ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ’ฏ), hemp seeds, and some nori bits. Fridayyyyyy!!! ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค— If you're looking for a different way to cool off try this drink - black lemonade! ๐Ÿ–ค๐Ÿ‹โœจ It's just regular lemonade with activated charcoal (see post from April 7th for activated charcoal benefits). RECIPE: 1 tsp activated charcoal, 1 lemon, juiced, 1 tbsp of honey. Add charcoal, lemon juice, and honey into a glass and mix. Happy Friday - it's a beautiful day!! ๐Ÿ˜ I've recently gotten into essential oils, and I have to say these two are my favorite. Any essential oil has its own unique set of benefits. ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿป Grapefruit essential oil is a good antioxidant, diuretic, tonic, and can control appetite. Peppermint essential oil is good for reducing stomach aches/digestive issues, boosting energy, and relieving headaches. I love making a grapefruit essential oil tonic (a few drops with water or, my personal favorite, a can of @lacroixwater) and putting peppermint essential oil on my forehead for my headaches. Thinking it's high time I posted some actual food for #HealthFoodFriday!! My day off today started just perfectly. ๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป Waking up to kitty snugs, and had these amazing French toast waffles for breakfast. ๐Ÿ˜ It really is the MOST important meal of the day. Eating as soon as you can after waking up jumpstarts your metabolism, which only helps you burn more calories throughout the day (I'm looking at you breakfast skippers!!!). // These were topped with chocolate peanut butter, blueberries, chia seeds/flaxseed, and honey. ๐Ÿ˜‹โœจ
