The research around the harmful impact that prolonged sitting has on health is getting scary, and while sitting can’t be avoided in many cases it can be managed better.. . So... Sitting on the edge of your chair. Is it good or bad? I say it’s good 💁🏼‍♀️ and here’s why... . Our intention with good sitting posture is to be in a ‘neutral’ position where there is the lowest amount of tension in muscles and lowest strain on joints. . If you have a great chair with an adjustable lumbar support that fills the ‘small of your lower back’ and feels supportive then that’s great 👏🏼 But IF you don’t (and you’re like many people with a shitty office chair or one that doesn’t adjust properly OR you can’t get a new one that does) then sitting on the edge or front part of the chair can help avoid slumping, and will tilt your pelvis forward and take the pressure off your lumbar spine while also naturally helping you sit more upright with less strain on your neck and shoulders. . Notice also my feel are flat on the floor and my hips and knees are at about 110 degrees (not 90) this also helps lessen the strain. . To optimise this even more... get up every 30 MINUTES. Research shows moving every 30 minutes will make a significant difference in lessening the impact of sitting (on your body and your brain). Not every hour or more 😉 So if you want to move better, move more. . And smile more, it helps too 😊

Here’s a cardio circuit workout I built in our @2bepicfn #trainerize app for one of my personal training clients! The built in timer made it so convenient to follow along. Just had to listen for the cues and put in some work 💪💦 Save for later & try it out! - - Perform each exercise for one minute with 30 seconds rest in between exercises. Once you’ve completed all the exercises in the circuit, rest for two minutes & repeat circuit 2-3 more times. YOOOO if you’re a dude trying to build bigger arms, this is for you ⬇️ . In my opinion, building arms is all about volume. . I always keep my rep ranges above 8, sometimes going as high as 15-20 reps per set. . I also like to incorporate a lot of dropsets and supersets to increase the volume. . What you see here is a “run-the-rack” set 💪🏼 . 1️⃣ You start with a weight that is fairly heavy where you’re able to complete 8-10 reps.... . 2️⃣ Once you go till failure, immediately drop the weight and go till failure again... . 3️⃣ Drop the weight one more time and go till failure again....(I use like 10-15 lb. dumbbells for this last set) . Repeat this 2x at the end of your arms workout for the GAINZ 💪🏼

I've lately turned to these snack type foods for an easy dinner that I can plate in literally 3 minutes. The great thing about eating this at the end of the day is that it keeps me full and curbs any cravings for bad things in the evening. Am I a rabbit, or a cat? 🤔 ~ Luna ✨ I've had a lifetime adoration of all kinds of cats - big or small, pedigree or rescued. Luna was my first kitten->cat that I raised as an adult and was a doll faced persian (they have noses like a doll, rather than flat). ✨ She wasn't the the cuddliest of cats, but had quite a personality and was soooo photographable - every picture was either absolutely hilarious or incredibly cute. ✨ When I moved to Maui for the 1st time in 2012, I was worried she would get would get lost or ambushed at my cliff-side/jungle house, so I gave her to my niece Ashlie in Canada. ✨ She was my first and only "pedigree" cat. She was also the last time I ever had 1 kitten->cat at time. I always yo-yo'd with my smoothies. I'd go a month of having at least 1 smoothie a day, then would go 2 months not even touching my blender. 🙅‍♀️ Why? Because the wash & prep got exhausting! Between meals and smoothies, that's a LOT of washing and prepping in a day!! Solution? Experiment with it, but don’t expect it to always work for you.Everyone is different and should go in with the mindset that what works for someone might not work for them. However, if it does, awesome😊 ▫️ ✅FODMAP stands for "Fermentable Oligo, Di, Mono-saccharides and Polyols."(1) ▫️ 💡FODMAPs are tiny carbohydrates found in certain foods, including wheat and beans. ▫️ 💡Studies show strong links between FODMAPs and digestive symptoms like gas, bloating, stomach pain, diarrhea and constipation. ▫️ Low-FODMAP diets can provide remarkable benefits for people with common digestive disorders. ▫️ 🍎Fructose: A simple sugar found in many fruits, vegetables and added sugars. 🥛Lactose: A carbohydrate found in dairy products like milk. 🥐Fructans: Found in many foods, including gluten grains like wheat, spelt, rye and barley. 🥜Galactans: Found in large amounts in legumes. 🥤Polyols: Sugar alcohols like xylitol, sorbitol, maltitol and mannitol. Tempe tacos 🌮 with sautéed Tempe, mushrooms & corn with blackened seasoning 🔥, avocado 🥑, bell peppers, the carrot & red cabbage slaw from @thugkitchen ‘s cook book which is SO good... topped with tomatillo salsa & a lil cholula 💃🏼 with a side of homemade fries & @sirkensingtons ketchup & more cholula haha 😂 SERIOUSLY, this meal was a flavor explosion 🤯 & so filling... if you feel like you’re bored or out of ideas, there are literally thousands of cookbooks to check out, thousands of healthy blogs, there is an endless supply of YouTube videos & resources to keep your healthy habits alive & kickin 👌🏼 i think if you’re bored, you’re doing it wrong. In a 10ml bottle *diluted safely for her age* I put... 🌟 6 💧 Lavender - Calming, soothing with antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-infectious properties. 🌟 6 💧 Frankincense - helps the skin heal, has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and anti-infectious properties. Then I top the bottle with Fractionated Coconut Oil. • Added a cute cupcake band aid and the tears were gone within a couple of minutes. Ruby loves her oils and Mummy loves them too!

Shut that screen for better sleep 💤 - - Blue light emitted from electronics throws our body’s circadian rythym out of whack and suppresses the secretion of melatonin, affecting the quality of our sleep. - Quality sleep is a pillar of wellness and hard to come by for many of us (especially if you’re a mama to an 8-month old lol). So you want to make every minute count ☺️! - - I recommend dim lights + a digital curfew of about 2 hours before bed. This will make for a better night’s sleep and simultaneously force you to wind down instead of mindelessly scrolling. - - Brew a cup of tea, read, write, or just talk to your partner about your day. - - On that note...curfew’s up!
